Thanks for the offer Stephen!
I might just take you up on it if the suggestion from Miles doesn't work.

I've had quite a nonproductive day at the garage today.
I first checked my ptfe gasket against the sc inlet & found that I needed to dress the bores in the gasket a little to get rid of some positive steps into the gas flow. I just used a drum sander in the drill.

I then dummy fitted the sc inlet on the engine with a spare fuel rail to see where I could position the dip stick tube.

I then set about stripping the fuel rail from my old na inlet manifold. I removed the two bolts thinking it would pull off the tops of the injectors easily. After 5 minutes on my hands & knees on the floor with no success I put the manifold onto the bench only to discover that each injector is held in the fuel rail with a little black clip.

Clips off & it came apart fairly easily.
I then spent a couple of hours preparing the fuel rail for paint, what a ballache ensuring no crap got inside it!!!!
Fuel rail painted.

Also painted the dip stick tube.

Decided to pull up stumps at this point as it was bloody freezing!

Cool

My 1 litre swirl pot & Facet solid state fuel pump arrived today.

I'll be using the facet pump to lift the fuel from the tank to the swirl pot then I'm planning on fitting the Walboro high pressure pump somewhere under the bonnet so that the run of pipe under high pressure is as short as possible.
I know that most of the SC boys use the STD in the tank pump to send the fuel to the swirl pot but my theory is that the STD pump is designed to run at 3 bar & won't like the fact that it's seeing no pressure. This Facet pump on the other hand is designed to run at 7psi max so should cope nicely.

After seeing a thread from one of our Scottish members showing the end result (crash pics) of using a pattern brake master cylinder on an expensive project car I decided mine was getting a genuine Peugeot master cylinder.
I got one from Luke Jenks for £64.48 + vat, very reasonable I think.
It arrived today, cheers Luke!!!!

It's coming together slowly but surely

When I replaced the m/c in the Xsara earlier this year I bought a pattern one, only to recieve it, decide that the quality looked a little shoddy and go to ECP to order an OE one, which was 10x better!

I'm going to mount it on rubber bobbins so it shouldn't be too bad, let's face it the whole car is going to be bloody noisy so a bit of ticking isn't going to make much difference..

I'll post a write up on the fg bits when I get home on SundayThumbs up
