When I am rich and retired, I will use this thread as a guide to rebuilding engines.

Seriously good work mate, and with plenty of pictures as well. Do make sure you finish the project mind, else there'll be countless half-built yellow engines sat around the country.

I had yellow paint mixed up especially for my block about 6 months ago, glad I did'nt put it on now as I would be accused of copying. Coming along nicely now mate, keep up the good work. Smile

I won't have any problems getting it welded on properly, some of my suppliers at work do a lot of tig welding for the nuclear & aerospace industries.
I did a lot of research into snap off bosses, the one I've bought is the cheapest correct quality one on the Market, don't worry I've got plenty of spare yellow paint for the pull ringThumbs up

Cool

What a day......
I've been down to Silverstone today to see vittesse_tuning to pick up my single skin fibreglass bonnet & tailgate.
After a 400 mile round trip I've just got home.
My ashtray took some hammerWhistle

I'll post some pics of them after I've had a little nap (I'm feeling old)

Eh is that an ashtra van haha

Happy enough with the finish on the bonnet and boot mate? ive went for black with mine and prob wont paint them. ive kept the badge, but am gonna check my grill that i bought as i was sure id need to keep the badge as i just got the grill painted red lol, but if i could get away with getting rid, may get james to make it a smoothed bonnet if he hasnt started it already.

gotta say they look greta tho, happy there as light as f*ck!!

Ashtra van Laugh my ass off
Black gloss is an awkward colour as it shows off the slightest blemish, matt black on the other hand would be idealNinja
