I really like not having ABS. Seems to kick in way too early in the xsara in comparison

I've not had ABS for ages, haven't had any problems. In the wet it locks up, obviously, but you learn to modulate the pedal properly.

Do you not run the heat exchanger? I've got an oil cooler and thought about getting rid of the heat exchanger but figured for 2 pipes and a small about of weight it does no harm.

Havnt had one on mine since I fitted the oil cooler. The heat exchanger was weeping oil anyway was glad to get rid of it lol.

However I tried an Xsi radiator without the take off pipe for it and blanked off the one on the top hose on the 6 and soon as I booted it for any length of time the coolant temp would rise noticeably.... swapped back to a standard nissens rad and looped the 2 pipes together and no problems since? Either it wouldn't Bleed out completely with the top hose takeoff blanked or the rad I used was s**te but it didn't like it with boost.

Doesn't seem to in my phase 2 6 barely cuts in at all with massive brakes etc but many phase 3 cars I've driven seem a lot more intrusive. Maybe because they have the EBD as well?

I didn't have any issues with my abs kicking in too early on my phase 2 when i had it with the standard calipers. It weighed too much though so it went when i upgraded to 4 pots.

I've Never run a stnd Heat exchanger after mine failed & leaked & I just blanked the radiator take off & the Silicon hose take off & never had a water temp issue running TBs

The ABS doesn't seem to work or kick in much with 330s which I'm glad of ...just want to remove it all & clear some pipework & the box out of the engine bay ..

I'm in no rush it will be much easier with the engine out of the way LOL

I'm wondering if these phase 2 cars have working compensators! LOL

It makes a huge difference (once the rears have a bit of heat) to the amount of braking you can put in.

on my Ph 2 i can really stand on the brakes pulls up very long before the ABS kicks in yes the compensator is free and working and the ABS works

my Ph3 daily i hate the ABS on that as all id does is extends the stopping distance by turning the brakes off very scary

The whole ABS systems weighs about the same as the twin fan unit I think, it's not particularly heavy!

Because of my fuel line fire my two fuel pipes & breather hose to my Charcoal canister had to be rerouted sadly ...

Now fitted ...Red in the Picture ....Upside down breather vent on alloy p clip from tank now ...up above & inside drivers rear wing & under arch liner
Then vents out ...no pipework inside for this

My 811 PTFE fuel pipes are now running down the passenger inside exhaust tunnel
To the right of the red upside down valve which cuts fuel off if I turn the car over ...is the petrol filler cap cable operner Thumbs up

Bought a couple of these to blank my Brake hoses...
Saving on losing my expensive brake fluid all over my drive ....

I've taken my Brembo V6 4pot Calipers off for (Godspeed) in Bridgend to totally refurb them ...
Less than £1.50 each delivered from fleabay ....not worth making anything
