Had the Blaze MOT'd today and got this as an advisory
"Side skirts fitted unable to assess sills properly"
How is that an advisory? am I supposed to remove them next year so they can get a better look?LOL
Being blaze also hides alot of rust so maybe I should repaint it for them.

As above, testers are not allowed to remove plastic covers so they are covering their arses.
When you hit the milkfloat and the car folds up, its not their problem Thumbs up

Roll eyes yep exactly this, jaguar x types are good for this, under the sill cover most are rotten.

I've encountered it previously at place I go but never get it every year so also down to the tester if they can be arsed to add it as an advisory.

Because it's like any other undertray. If it's still attached, it's a hazard because it will inevitable fly off into teh car behind.

Unless your under tray leaks oil against gravity onto your engine, I suspect you mean it keeps your driveway clean. I approve of under trays for this very reason.

It's because certain things can't be seen also before an mot is carried out the tester should check all the doors boot bonnet and fuel cap can be opened if any of them doesn't then the car can't be tested at all.

I thought she meant it reduces spray flying up and covering the bay.

But being a woman she could mean anything.

I removed my sills to find a nice little rust patch had developed, so they are correct in why they say it. Luckily I removed them as another year or two would have meant some serious work (Scrapping it)

Just caught it in time, I think that the plug under the rear arch liner was the cause since it wasn't there! Had a good hunt around with the light and it was only that one 10cm square that went, coated everything near it in rust bullet for good measure!
