It was a standard London car when I bought it, it had the morettes that's about all, bashed a bit here and there.

Was for sale for ages as well.

My 6 had an original receipt when I looked through the paperwork and indeed it was a fraction over £19k. That was a small fortune for a car back in 1998, no wonder there wasn't that many made.

the poverty version rallye was a 2k premium, i got mine from peugeot sports mick linford "on a deal" with a small deposit. if i had cash i could have had it for 15 ish but couldnt. its the only new car i ever had and think it will be my last. though i did 10k in it in 6 months..... took me till 2008 to drive another one and fell back in lust!!!

Not much different now really,
If you think that performance wise it was kinda the focus rs of the midnineties and a Focus RS was 26k when it came out.
A golf GTI is what 29k now?

It was expensive, But at the time the gearbox was quite a big deal really

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.
