£5. A beer or two, a McD's, not enough fuel to get you to work. Its worth it if not for the banter than to not waste it on some other s**te.

Each to there own but I don't mind shelling out. I'll take an extra year cheers Ash...Thumbs up

I expect there will be a large use of the "Blush" smilie when defiant members do actually end up paying that measly £5.

In the non profit respect what happens with the excess money left over in the club fund on an annual basis after hosting and what not has been paid? Serious curiosity question.

Not at all. Who would have paid membership when the site first started?

So why now when the newest one is 12 years old?

Is it really worth losing the footfall of so many more people that could post, to a minority that can? And therefore losing ad revenue?

Reminds me of BT phoneboxes - it's 60p to make a call therefore no one hardly uses them.

It's your train set at the end of the day but I think it's the kiss of death for this site

I think your missing the point, the site required updating which costs and everyone wanted it updating BTW! And also Ash has funded the place from day one out of his own pocket, so (as has been explained before) the site was updated and paying membership introduced, the tiered system didn't really work so a standard fee introduced. I'm not being funny but things need paying for and a standard fee of a fiver is hardly the earth so why the issue? The reasons for the introduction of fees are there for all to see and have never been hidden, the site makes no profit, it simply pays for what we all use so i really dont see why the issue? Just my 2p's worth. Roll eyes
