Eeek! did not know they where that expensive, anyone know the thickness of the pressure plate when new?, I have a used one that I took off mine and the friction material looks close to the rivets although maybe they are all like that ________________________________________ Team Supercharged Gti-6™ |

Is this correct? I'm running a Helix paddle and my car puts out 320ft/lbs of torque with no clutch issues... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

it will take more than its been rated for.Mine won't even be rated at that as it uses standard pressure plate, see why mines slipped now? ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Clutches will take more than their rating for a fair while until they wear past the pivot on the pressure plate, then they go down rapidly.________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Sorry midwife and hot tub daddy, back to clutches. Is the four paddle ok to live with in traffic? And I the already heavy clutch action made much worse by updating the pressure plate?________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Jim, my 4 paddle is fine in traffic. I was advised by Rich to go for the Helix plate which had the damping springs in the centre of it to take away some of the harshness. However, to me there is no difference in pedal feel regarding how heavy it is. My clutch has always been fairly light because it has a newish clutch cable and I greased the plastic bushes when I put the engine and box in. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
