Nope, Arden does though... hmm...
It usually only costs me £20 to get 4 fitted but its not that cold yet and they don't need doing until the end of next week. Wanted to put the mileage on to these F1s as they aren't all that good and didn't want to melt the winters on track.

They do tend to pull timing on dynos but its about what I expected - completely standard except R exhaust with decat and a huge intercooler. Should be 240BHp and 245lbft book. Now done 155k miles so not bad really Wink

f*ck all boost in it too from its tiny, tiny turbo LOL

Apparently should be making more boost than that so going to check the actuator tension and give it a bit of a screw (oo-er missus). They are known to go a bit slack over time (just like the owners).

Yes as it will be closer to activating the knock sensor, which will pull the timing.

No because its no where near maximum fuelling. The standard fuel system will work to ~320BHp then you need to change injectors. These don't tend to use the knock sensor as much as the wideband lambda, air intake temp and map. Basically a remap is just changing the boost curves and throttle mapping. The fuelling is sorted by the ecu (with a standard turbo remap). Farking clever beasties these ME7 ecus.

It is pulling the timing because the airflow over the intercooler isn't enough on the rolling road and it knows the intake air temp is too high. It could also be pulling boost, but generally that is more obvious on a RR graph. This makes them slow during a hot summers day when you've been sat in traffic. About 2 miles down a clear road you've suddenly got 50BHp back LOL

Actually yes it would in reality Mei but because it will be running hotter not because it is running too lean.

If it was a subaru (pre 2006 odd) then no as they rely on the knock sensor to tell, just a shame the knock sensors are shit and the engines then detonate.

Yes - I happened to drop in to see AST on friday afternoon and noticed the dyno was free.
Its just down the road and I've had a variety of cars on there so I can compare to a degree. Also its a favourite on the T5D5 forum so other car's dyno plots are made a little more relevant. A long way off some of the 420+BHp T4 and T5s kicking about though LOL

We have had rolling road days there over the last few years and they've always been consistant - good bunch of guys to.

The engine management does seem a lot more complex, the SAAB ecus were very intelligent and you would have to be somewhat idiotic in your tuning methods to make it knock. Unlike Jap cars that like 98 RON and thats it.

Not yet thanks. Tweaked the actuator last week to see if that improved boosts and it has.
Back on summer tyres now too. Hated the winters I had and they weren't much cop in snow anyway.

Otherwise no real change - money says no!

Re-done the boost piping (again) and been trying to find a missfire. Almost certainly a coilpack but the management hides it very well. Only does it in second on full boost and its not the plugs.

Recently had the injectors cleaned (borrowed a mate's ultrasonic bath thing) and lumps came out! Interestingly two injectors had missing fire rings so they've been off before. I keep finding dodgy and bodged things on this car. Shocking whoever worked on in it in the past Angry

Should have new springs (400s) on the front soon with an alignment to check the rear subframe is straight on the car. Hope to get a bit more rear camber too.

Apart from not much going on I got to drive an S60R running 340BHp on a 2.4 engine. Fook me it shifted!! I was seriously thinking about not remapping mine but that made mine feel dog s**t slow...LOL
