I was told it wasnt. I have never seen a cage like it for the 306 though. I know its not a proper full on cage, but my engineering friends seem to think its sturdy enough (ie not a show cage).

I would prefer a full on cage, but this came up cheap and took a bit of a punt on it. It's only bolted in, so can be removed if I decide to get a proper cage Yes

I do like how it's nice and low to make sure you bang your head on the roof as punishment for rolling the car over.

This is the only thing I have against it Yes

I took a punt on it as I said, and it will be removed at some point. It was a case of "Oh it will be better than no cage" but now its fitted, I'm not so sure Laugh

What does it bolt to?

I'd be tempted to made some bigger mountings and push it up nearer the roof.
At least then the wider portion will be closer to your shoulders and head in a crash.

The rear legs go to existing bolt holes where the seatbelts used to go to (i think, been a while since its had seats in)

The front are just bolted to the rear footwells (base of B pillar)

Update time

Well, as its been a fairly long time since there has been any updates on this, i have one thats a little bit special to make up for it.

Since joining this forum in 2007, I have lusted after a certain bit of kit produced by a certain Mr Walker, well the waiting has been too long and after my "f*ck it, you only live once" thinking, I have gone out and done it Big grin

I will do a proper write up when I get time (only just been ran in so only had a couple of miles with the foot down) but what I will say for now is, its f*cking awesome Hyper Love

Massive thanks to Rich Walker for designing the kit, it really does transform the gti6 Yes

Rich has also been very helpful during the process of getting the parts and I am more than happy with the quality of parts and his great customer service. Top man, keep up the good work Thumbs up

Also a massive thanks to Carl Grimsley for getting it all fitted for me Big grin

I only got it back on friday and due to being busy over the weekend and rainy weather only just had chance to run it in, plenty more fun to be had in it Devil

Next job is definitely a new exhaust as this one is no good for the 'charger setup. Then hopefully not much more being spent on it, save the money from some bloody track days Laugh
