Not much progress at the minute, just spending all the time driving it Devil

Working on the new door cards and getting cage sorted.

Minor progress bump...

Over the weekend I managed to get some free time so thought I would try get something done on the pug. I wanted to give her a f*cking good clean, but the black clouds looming overhead convinced me otherwise Laugh

I decided to have a crack at getting the door cards on.

As this is a weekend car, and I aim to go to the 'ring in it, I want it to still be bearable on journeys so I had a few things to do to get the door cards on..

First up was moving the electric window switches. I had the idea of splitting down the door loom, and moving the switch back into the cabin, rather than the door. I opted to put it in the vent on the dash.

After I started this, my lazyness got the better of me and I started thinking about how much work this would be. There had to be an easier way..

Bingo Wizard

Cable ties FTMFW! Big grin

Next up was cutting some holes in the door cards to enable me to keep the speakers.

Please note, this hole was cut with just a hacksaw blade, so it's not tidy in any way Laugh

I really need to buy more tools if I want to continue working on the car at home.

A quick call to a mate, and I have a rivet gun, so on with the doorcards.

Note my "race car stylee" handles (made from a laptop bag strap)

And a quick picture when I had finished the work

Well yesterday the exhaust decided to take itself apart on the weld connecting the center box to the pipe. So first job was to weld/patch it up. It looked pretty f*cked, but hope the fix will hold out for tomorrow at least.

Done a few other bits and pieces too. Off out to clean it shortly, so will get some pics up later.
