Got the car started up again today, battery was proper dead Laugh

With any luck (Mr Gourlay..hint hint) coilovers will be with me in under a fortnight so can get it MOT'd and back on the road Hyper

Bought some shiny bits to go on with the coilovers (Cheers Steve)

Spoox eccentric top mounts

Got some injectors from Al"ecclair" that dont tap, and had them reconditioned. To be fitted as part of its service to get it running spot on, and no tappy Smile

Also got given these from a mate at work. He used them for karting, but not fireproof so he cant use them for racing.

They are old, but still good nick and will hopefully stop me messing up my nice suade wheel on track Cool

Spent a few minutes trying to remove the brackets that hold door cards on. They are riveted on so attempted to drill them out. Had 20 to do, and on the 4th on, I broke the drill bit, oops Doh

What is the best way to remove them? Drill, or use a punch and a hammer? Also how long should it take? Took me 15 minutes to do 4 Laugh

Learn how to sharpen them properly too, if you have a bench grinder it can be done easily, it just takes a steady hand and some practice.

They are the ones attached on the inside of the door, used to hold the door card on. Shouldn't need to be too hardcore Laugh

She's back, she's back Hyper Love

Been off the road since late October as didnt want to use it over winter and needed to collect a few parts.

Collected her from Carl today with the following sorted:

- KW v2 coilovers fitted
- RichW Roller bearing wishbone bushes/wishbones
- New balljoints and pinch bolts
- Service carried out and new injectors
- New battery as not being used for so long has killed it off

When I took it over I had noticed the engine sounding a bit ropey/tappy. I didnt think much of it at the time as thought it was because it had been sat for so long without been started, but by the time I had got it 20 miles to Carl's it sounded worse. Turned out to be a cracked cam pulley, so lucky boy that it made it to the garage and didnt give up on the way Smug

Pictures up at the weekend after its had a fooking good clean Cool

Watch this space...
