Bit faster than I'm going with mine though LOL

The rears are a bit funny as they need more damping than you'd initially think.

Rears now on with new beam mounts. Bloody wishbones had the wrong size ball joints in. They will need to be re-valved as (as curtis suspected) they are too soft even on the hardest setting.

Going back in later this week when i'm not using it to be changed over. Just got to figure out how to make the ARB bolt stop in the trailing arm for more than 10 miles...

why whats it doing?? uprate it or use lock compound??

it just keeps pulling loose. The original ovalled the hole so has been tapped and helicoiled. Yeah will try locking compound, but really need a new beam!

awsome! when can we have these? Cool

ohhh... and a question to those suspension experts:

there'll be a simple Sportline I. kit and an other Sl. I. with separate bump and rebound adjustability.
I know that seprate adjustment is better, but when I go out on a trackday will the more expensive kit make me any faster compared to a well set normal Sportline I. ?

To understand why I'm asking this, there's difference in the price and should I spend that amount on even better tires or should I just buy the Sportline 1.5? LOL

front setup feels pretty good from the short passenger ride, only a pootle down the road though, rears need some work as they're a bit bouncy still.

A lot bouncy... The grip on smooth roads if I am also being smooth is just astounding.

Damping does depend somewhat on driving style, you can get away with less damping in certain areas with a smoother driving style.

That's the only problem with better dampers - you end up with so many different combinations on the amount of damping valves/needles/ports/bleeds that you can have, it takes you 10x longer to dial 'em in.
There's something like 124 million valving combinations on these Foxes, I'd imagine the AST's are much the same!

UPDATE: Rears are off again ready to be revalved. Currently have the konis back on until friday on their hardest setting. Slightly too hard for the front imo, but the grip is quite astounding and I'm again gobsmacked by how good the PE2s are in the wet.

Hope to have a bit of fun tomorrow if it is dry and scare the crap out of Welshpug and his brother Oz

Don't think I quite managed to do it, but we did go round a few corners quite fast. Had a lot of weight on board though (working stuff not those two hehe) so couldn't really chuck it about.

What ditch was that then?

Adam, could Curtis be able to do the rear shock absorbers with dust boots?

I would be very grateful if so! Wink
