Don't think I quite managed to do it, but we did go round a few corners quite fast. Had a lot of weight on board though (working stuff not those two hehe) so couldn't really chuck it about.

What ditch was that then?

he was with goliath off 205gti drivers when they avoided a dog and ended up in a ditch! LOL

So was there really a dog Whistle I remember a mate of mine crashing into a telecoms box a while back, he apparently swerved to avoid a badger of all things, funny considering it was in central London Laugh

Not really. Still have konis on the back on full hard, waiting for Curtis to get back to me about the ASTs.

I'm feeling the inside front lifting as I come on power so going to have to sort that - big power understeer in the wet. Wondering if it might be worth going for slightly softer front springs too, but will have a chat with him when we catch up.

Who says they weren't being tested to their limits on cornish B roads?

Actually they weren't as I was in the 406. Would have been fun though. Back in it for a nice early morning blast/trip to Reading tomorrow. I did try to get hold of Curtis before going to give him the car for the week.

Its back in tomorrow to get the rears on and have a new balljoint. Will finally be able to test it properly. Might need slightly softer springs, but hard to tell at the moment.

Fixed the gear lever yesterday, but need to put bits of dash back in as I very nearly crashed falling out of the shite seats without the centre console to hold me in place!

My russian friends are on the way to you Adam!

They'll at least remove the AST suspension from your car, but as we still don't know about how it's going on it's likely that they'll remove certain parts from your body aswell! Arms, legs will do! Whistle

LOL

Send them over - I could do with a session on some cheap vodka. They'll only get the fronts though at the moment...Razz

It didn't happen on Friday, bit of a pain as i'd arranged someone to look after Sam for an hour. Be nice to get them on sometime soon as Mei bought the konis off me about 6 weeks ago and they are still on my blinking car. Sorry dude!

Revalved dampers are on along with a new balljoint that has helpfully put the tracking out, so currently waiting for an alignment and i've nicked Curtis' van. Also put a pukka peugeot sport magnex on there.

Interestingly AST can also do the following:
Air jacks
Torsion Bars
Rose Jointed ARB drop links

They have been experimenting with removing the torsion bars in a 309 and replacing the dampers with coilover units. The standard dampers can also be used in the same way as Phil's Fox ones using extra air pressure as a spring. They have also developed a system to equalise the pressure in both rear dampers, but i'm not 100% sure how that worked.

Anyway Curtis will be online at some point soon to answer any questions.

I'll be interested to see how they've managed that if he doesn't mind chatting about it then.
How big is the damper rod?
