Do remember that when I started this thread Gaz golds were about 450-500 and rusted like a mk2 fiesta you sure they were golds because they are at entry level golds 800 and gou up to a k with remote resevoirs. my mate runs gaz golds on his r5 maxi turbo and has no problems with them now they are set up. ________________________________________ |

I had ASTs on my 306 3 years ago. Gaz were shite then. The single adjust inverted ones custom made for my volvo would be about 1400 iirc, the 3 ways about 4k. That's 4 coilovers mind, not just 2 and dampers like the 306 ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Anyway price is fairly irrelevant. You don't always get what you pay for. I would say the eibach/B8 setup on a gti6 is about the best compromise i've ever felt.I'd be looking at Black Art Designs after seeing Denis (Russian Guy) car. He must be using them for a reason. I like my ASTs but the spring rates are still waay out in my opinion. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

springs on my VTS seem to be a bit on the soft side. But they provide outstanding track performance and grip like nothing else so I don't complain ;D________________________________________ VTSbest 60' : 2.272 best 1/8 ET : 9.375 @ 74.42mph best 1/4 ET: 14.603 @ 97.047mph Team Trackday™ |
