question!!!! someone with a KW shock or even with originals could post a pic of his shock where I would possibly see the droplink mounting point's location on the shock itself? the mounts are adjustable on the ASTs and I can't remember where the originals used to be, so I would like to see where they should be even a wheel arch shot would help Cheers, Tibi ________________________________________ VTSbest 60' : 2.272 best 1/8 ET : 9.375 @ 74.42mph best 1/4 ET: 14.603 @ 97.047mph Team Trackday™ |

Wonder what the sportline 1s are like on an impreza? Wonder if i'll ever find out... They'd have a lot to beat with the standard setup. It is very good indeed. May well get to try a classic with them on tomorrow. Must not be too tempted! ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Indeed - thanks for the link but I can't afford another set right at the moment. Not sure if you can use classic stuff on newer ones. Will find out though. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Tried an impreza classic with a set of Sportline 1 coilovers today. Wasn't aligned correctly, but have to say it was bloody impressive. Softer springs than the 306 strangely enough 50Nm front and I think 40 rear. Felt a bit stiffer and a lot stiffer than my standard setup. Will try it again when its aligned, but the difference was huge over standard. Apparently there are a few extras that also help, but they won't be tried for a bit.I know a lot of work has gone into the impreza setup and it shows. I now think that there is more to be had from the 306 ones, primarily with an increase in the rear spring rate over standard. Tibi - you've already got bigger rear TBs so that is a good thing. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

all sounds very promising, want some black and orangeness one day!good to know up to when the bits will still fit on the Impreza it is quite a compact alloy block engine with the transmission behind it, plus not that much heavier than a 306 in reality which explains the spring rates a little. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

It is compact, but it's stretched after the front axle like every flat boxer engine . i don't know of any front-mid engine car equipped with flat engine. that's why the Evo handle better then STI. ________________________________________ French military victories?Did you mean French military defeats? |

In standard form, but that has a lot to do with the standard geometry setup more than the engine placement. Not entirely sure how the torque split makes a difference either - certainly later STi cars with DCCD do handle much better than my old 50:50 car. I think mine weighs 1250kg, but has aircon, 4x electric windows and the larger later brakes. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
