nope, done about 15 miles on dodgy roads will only really be able to compare them against tired standard dampers and Koni dampers really as I have no experience of anything else on my car. I did drive Adam's rallye that has stiffer springs than these though, and they really didn't feel that stiff at all when you consider the spring rate was over double the standard one. (mine were an Ebay purchase, intended for a 206 rally car and specced with 171 lb springs, an epic price and I am going to try them as they are for now, get them re-valved and stiffer springs if required) ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

well i've only ever experienced standard and spax, and the rallye is sitting on standard at the mo. just couldn't get on with the spax that i bought. i don't mind spending a pretty penny as long as it's the dogs' bits i'm just scared of spending money on something i could potentially hate!________________________________________ |

My fronts (impreza) are being re-valved next tuesday as they aren't damping enough - James the new guy learning the ropes On my second set now and even with the slightly bouncy front end they do work very well. I think my 306 on reflection needed stiffer rear springs (was standard) to get the balance right, but it still cornered and handled well. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

You'll have to try Mine Adam, so far so good but haven't been pushing it, seems to be a bit more pointy and adjustable on throttle.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Things such as spring rates, the TB size you would have preffered to go for etc. I really want a new beam for it. The welded on ARB endplate is funny and all of the handbrake cable mounts are snapped and cable ties dont last long. After reading RussianGuys thread and also looking at the AST website would a twin spring system of benefitted you? The handling on the Rallye is ok but there is somthing that definatly isnt right! ________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

It was good with straight 285s, but I'd probably go 240ish on reflection.I would get the beam sorted then consider the rest after. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

With what size torsion beams? Fast road and Beginner track usage come the new year? The ARB will still be fine wont it as the end plates detach?________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

Should be ok yes.No idea really, people seem to go for 21mm and they are readily available. Depends on the front springs you currently have and what dampers you are hoping to use. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

I currently have the avo GTZ setup. And i have no idea what the spring rate is on the fronts but i have had them bottom out with me. This is with the height set to coinicide with the rear beam which i assume hasnt changed height since you had it? I wouldnt mind 21mm TBs or slightly bigger and would have to change the rear dampers i would imagine?I went in a track prepped 306 the other day that had 400lb springs front with 21mm rear and the car handled brilliantly in my mind! The dampers are only cheapo shitty Raceland ones though! ________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

AFAIK the end plate was not welded when it left Adam, just had an M12 bolt holding the l/h one on rather than an M8 due to the threads being damaged by the poor fit of the Hybrid ARB to the end plate. It was standard 20mm hence the comment that 240lb would be better possibly. 400ft and 21mm rear is a tad imbalanced, would be even better with stiffer bars (I've driven a 205 with 200lb ft and standard 19mm rears, bloody awful!) depends how you like the car to behave though. at the mo I have 180 ish ft 23mm rear, I do have some 228's but I think they may be too short. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
