Brilliant Mei Thumbs up

Double checking Mei ...I thought you had to come off the lower Engine Old Matrix tube not the upper that goes to thermostat housing type area ?

It's definitely the upper old matrix thermostat housing area your saying you come off of & blank the lower ?

I thought you told me before to blank the top & use the lower one that goes down the back of the Engine to the bottom hose & the fills from the bottom ?????

I'm using the one in the pic below Thumbs up

I've only got the (u) shaped short matrix bypass pipe from spoox ...as I've no matrix ....why do you T into that ?....it's just outlets if you have a matrix ?

I've been told by you & others to use the bottom old matrix pipe that goes behind the engine & blank off the top old Matrix pipe that goes in behind before the thermostat ...?

Big thank you to Areo Catch UK for supplying yet again some FOC Extreme steel pins for my tailgate ....I'm not a big fan of the red alloy ones as they can't take a knock I've personally found out the hard way ...others swear by them Thumbs up

Interested to see how you mount the tailgate. I've got a fibreglass one sat around waiting to be fitted but no point at the moment as it would make the car too light for my class.

I'm going to have to get some steel pins for my bonnet, it's only a matter of time before the alloy ones give up, you should have seen how much my bonnet was flapping about at 120 the other day Doh Laugh

I also need to decide on the best way to fix my single skin fibreglass boot to the car at the top, i want to try and keep it hinged if possible as it makes it so much more convenient when doing trackdays etc just putting the wheels and spares in the boot area, don't fancy having it similar to my bonnet where i need to remove it then try and find somewhere safe to leave it whilst i load/empty the car. Hmm

Mine's single skin as well. I was thinking about bonding on some hinges then just having it clip down at the bottom

Blimey guys I couldn't have a bonnet flapping to much in front of me ...it's obvious the twin skin ones twice as heavy as a single skin one but the twin skin one weighs nothing Crazy ...

The tail gates are surprisingly sturdy ...with the 5mm rear window instead of 4mm hard shell grey polycarbonate bonded in it should be solid Thumbs up

There is a point where weight saving just becomes dangerous. Flappy bonnets and high speed do not mix well.

I got the single skin as it came up for about £70 brand new, hard to turn that down really. Like you say, when it's bonded in with the rear screen it should be ok. My bonnet is only single skin and that doesn't flap much at all with the little support bar I put in the front through the bonnet badge
