Small update from today Nothing exciting The composite bumper needed a little tiding up and some support areas worked on so they look similar to others as well at the same time of strengthening them The pic below is the middle support bar what I need to replicate to the ones either side |

These are the results of copying the ones in the middle in the pic above post Was dam fiddly So I cut some Carbon Prepreg tube in half ...then went about shaping it to fit the figure S shape which does not show in the pics and then finally I bonded them on with VM100 structural bond ... This will now get semi seam sealed and primed over after keying up the Carbon a little with some wet and dry paper |

Final results before semi seam sealing I believe it’s the little things that add up to big things ... This has massively strengthened the front support bars and stopped any flex ....hopefully won’t need any metal support bars now and two max if needed ? |

Plus even more messing about on the top ...but hopefully it’s the little details that count and make all the difference? The reasoning as well as filling the gap to reduce wind underneath was to (strengthen) that area up to try and eliminate some of the bonnet flex at high speed over 120mph when this bonnet which is Fibreglass at present would bulge ...hopefully the mould from this bonnet made in Carbon Prepreg won’t do that now with these teeth like areas it will help ...it’s made a massive difference to this Fibreglass one |

Nothing exciting just finished off smoothing the modified bonnet Sending it next week to get a mould made and then have a (twin skinned) = prepeg Carbon bonnet that will be sprayed the same col of the car on the outside .... I’m going to call this bonnet the MANTA model thanks to Joep |

Fitted Genuine Aero catch’s to the top and bottom now instead of Extra large Pitking push button ones that I personally didn’t trust The visual and safety I feel they give far outweighed what they looked like At high speed they are going to take a fair bit of pressure with the double different size top and bottom splitter .... |

Sadly no Trevor The engine has to go to the engine builder Sandy Brown for oil pump to be removed because I’ve gone dry sump and some upgrades plus it needs a refresh etc ... He’s fully booked for the next 12months Plus I’m only spending money that I have and earn etc .....so I recon 14-16 months |
