Great work as usual. I'm not doubting you but one thought that cropped up in my mind was that your switch panel seems a little low. With it being down by your legs you'll be taking your eyes completely off the road/track when you need/want to turn something on and off. Especially as it seems you're going to have quite few switches on there.
Or is it not as low as it looks?

Nice work on the recent updates. Just a thought about having the steering support nickel plated, will bright reflections be an issue when driving in sunny conditions?

Hi Steven hope your well m8 ...its surprising how high it is m8 ...it’s because the gear sticks so tall and the steering wheels high ...
But I will be having a control steering wheel panel like this one for all the important stuff....like the picture below Thumbs up

Good to hear you've got it planned out, I know from my own experience how annoying reflections in the screen can be.
I've barely touched my car since fitting the new engine but i've just stripped the kw's off and dropped them off to be revalved yesterday so fingers crossed they'll be back in a couple of weeks and i can get a trackday booked.

Well I had yet another idea and spoke to (David Warren AKA General Lee) about a 100mm centre extension on my already fibreglass full dash ...
David came up with a idea and I said I wanted to bond it onto my dash and blend it in and get it re-flocked ....

The pictures don’t tell the real full story ...it’s only the start of what’s going on ....the sides won’t have bits sticking out like in the pictures ...it will look like a bowl with a convex bottom that bonds on

Basically this will bring the centre of the dash Only = 100mm closer to me with the gauges on and I may even fit a few non important switches on it ...I’ll see ?

From David Warren below Thumbs up

something really rough
but i'm moulding the center section from one of the FG versions copping the face off and bringing it forward 100mm or so but then tilting it more to look up at the driver
clean that up and remould and make a FG version that can then be grafted to the original

Hope that makes sense

Starting to really get somewhere now Thumbs up

Yes I will because I run FPR gauges and I don’t want the dash to cluttered ...it’s mainly for revs / gear / lap times and oil pressure and oil temp

Well I’ve upset the neighbours Thumbs down

I’ve been heavily grinding and cutting using slither discs inbetween our shared drive and sadly 40-50 ft away metal rusted spots have appeared on there brand new White UPVC window seal and on his wife’s Corsa ....we have clay barred her car and I bought Wurth UPVC cream to sort the Window out ...but I’ve bought a second hand Motorcycle canvas garage to grind / weld and cut and modify my fibreglass dash in ...so nothing like fibreglass dust is getting on anyone’s cars etc ..lesson learned ...
Don’t grind or cut outside in high winds ...it’s travelled a long bloody way hot

Here’s the pic of the tent cost me £80 it looks in ok condition for 2years old
