1999 T plate 306 Rallye - T294BRN

Bought as a project in October this year. It had failed it MOT on a list of things, mainly brakes. In the end, this was the work I did on it.

Replaced main front to rear brake lines
New front brake hoses and pads
Replacement drivers side front calipers
Replacement, standard height rear beam with working brake compensator
Replacement rear calipers
New brake pipes on rear beam
New handbrake cables
Replacement engine from my other Rallye
Replacement radiator
Welding to chassis and sill on drivers side
New spare wheel cradle hook
New wiper blades and washer pump motor
A few new bulbs.

After a lot of work, it passed its MOT. Then the engines bottom end failed so the engine was replaced with the engine from my other Rallye.

Completely standard aside from a cone filter and the lowered front suspension. I have the standard spring and strut units to fit if I get time to do so. Drivers seat is worn.

Car drives very very well. Clutch isn't heavy, biting point relatively low, engine smooth and quiet. Body work is OK although it does need paint in places. Lacquer peel on the roof and tops of doors. Bonnet and front wings could do with paint as they've previously been painted poorly. However, its still relatively clean and I'll get some more pics once I've given it a good wash and polish.

Interior is OK. Drivers seat is a little worn. Engine bay is passable. A bit scabby in a couple of places.

Little worn, that seat is mullered. Do you have a spare from your collection to bring it up to standard? May help you get too money.

Ono meaning or near offer...........not take the fucking piss.....Thumbs down Thumbs down No At least you are consistent Ash....

In the mood, after enduring all manner of Gumtree nobheads today to pull it from sale, get the paint sorted and keep it. Odd track day and then sell it it a few years time. Looked at it today in the sunlight and other than the paint in places, its a fantastic looking car, especially in std form.

Sorry bud feel a bit mean its worth way more than 750 just brought an astor and theres no more room on the drive Sad you should get your 1500 its worth it considering the work youve done reacon you'd get it quicker with a good drivers seat genuine good luck with the sale have recently covered the work youve done on mine and its long winded and not cheap who ever gets this will be happy with it and with that mileage makes it just that little bit more special
Its definately a good one to grab and use or a great starter for a full restore project just going to get more expensive to obtain Smile as saidbefore glad you found it

I've a good mind to strip the shell, have it blasted and do another full on resto. Have enough contacts now that I could have the whole shell blasted and then painted (and a pro, proper, full on paint job ) for £600.

In fact, f**k it, I think thats what I'll do.

What buys the car, seats certainly mulled. You clearly have done some bits to the car but all required to put mot on it.

I'd take £1350. It didn't really need any other work apart from the seat and the paint.
