Probably best off spending 70-80 odd quid on a good, 2nd hand genuine one.Has it failed emissions or has the outlet pipe cracked and fallen to bits? If the 2nd one get it repaired at an exhaust place. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

http://www.autobits.co.uk/store/view_product.php?product=6946 ^^ Bought this for mine, will be fitting it tomorrow will try and let you know details on fit and quality etc. Went for the steel monolith option, ramps the price up a bit but worth paying for as it'll last forever. ________________________________________ '97 Platinum Silver GTI 6 |

The genuine cats give the best performance, and also last quite well. In fact their ability to pass emissions often seems to outlast their ability to stay in one piece. The outlet pipe is the main weak point.Your issue could possibly be a sensor? ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

It almost definitely will. It doesn't mention if it is a 100 cell, 200 cell etc. Also it is definitely a physically smaller casing than the std. cats which are quite large in order to offer less flow restriction.________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

mocinim wrote: Cheers bolly did it make a difference to you power output Yeah you bet, coupled with the Jetex system I've noticed a great improvement in the drive, mostly acceleration. It's much sharper in lower gears and pulls really well through the higher ones. If you do go for that option i posted in the beginning, go with the steel monolith as technically you shouldn't need to ever replace it. And comes with two year warranty ________________________________________ '97 Platinum Silver GTI 6 |
