I wont get a figer from the mapper, all he can give me for the time being is an estimate due to me having a live map done and not mapped on the rollers. He has told me it will make less power on the rollers than what is actually is tho. Something to so with engine bay pressure on the road is a lot higher than pressure on a roller where you have a constant 30mph wind from a fan.________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Just had a call back from dave. The inlet is now all air tight, no more air leaks so fingers crossed the weather pics up and we can get a good day tomorrow and make a start on mapping ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Finally! My car is ready for collection. Dont know alot at the minute as im at work but he has had to set idle at 1200rpm as if it drops any lower than that it cuts out. I need to match the head to the inlet size as well due to the inlet being 45mm and the head being 38mm what causes a slight step and doesnt give the full smooth air flow it should. I will sort that when I find a spare head. Dave says it drives and pulls well but I will find out for myself tomorrow when I collect it. Will update more on it when I get over there and pick it up ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Is it your daily drive? Seems crackers having it mapped when you know there's more work to do.Did you get the engine on the rollers before you started the work for comparison when it's complete? ________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |

Yes its my daily car so cant really afford to have it off the road too long. Just means I can build up my spare engine now. I have a spare inlet I can use too so no need stripping things down. Means I can just build it, throw it in and go get my map tweaked. Dave says it wont take much to tweak or cost much either so all that can come at a later date. No rush really.Didnt get a chance to get it on the rollers before hand but had a print out off when I bought the engine from a year ago for 194.4bhp with cams and mapping. So anything above that I will be happy with really ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Need to get a spare head to do a little work on. Need to open up the inlet ports on the head about 7mm so the inlet matches the head. At the minute the inlet is 45mm where the head is only 38mm so its not getting a nice smooth air flow from the inlet. I did see a longman head for sale a little while back but cant remember where now but that had already had all the head work done and had bigger valves too. ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |
