Have you angled your numberplate for the sake of airflow to the holes underneath? Haha

Laugh my ass off is it that obvious. Been over to see dave today. He made a start on the car. Got idle set and a few other bits and bobs then the inlet developed an air leak. He was going to set it up so I could drive it home to fix but by the time he set throttle and fueling the air leak got worse. With fueling set tbe car idled at 4500rpm with the TB fully shut so off came the inlet again to find the rubber seal between the inlet and plenum was damaged so just left it with him to sort out tomorrow. Will be going back over after work again to see how he is getting on. Seems to be 1 problem after another at the minute!

Trying to sort the air leaks at the minute. Been off today to have the face of the inlet skimmed as it wasnt flat and not sealing against the head. Then there is a pretty big leak between the inlet and the plenum so got it in bits to try sort that. Dave had got a few base settings on now. Car idles but when he feeds the right amount of fuel in the air leaks are that bad the car idles at 4500rpm. Hopefully we will be able to make a start and hopefully finish mapping tomorrow afternoon Smile

It wants to be when and if I ever get it back! LOL
I have the boot lid here off the black GTi6 I broke. Been at it with the grinder and going to fit some aero catches to it. Not that the bits I have chopped out are much lighter. May look into getting a thermoformed rear screen for it. This will get rid of the awful rear spoiler too.

Had a call from dave today. Hopefully he has everything sorted and inlet is going back on today so fingers crossed we can make a start on mapping later on today. He has told me I will probably need a bit head work to get the most from this as the inlet bore is 45mm and the head is only 38mm so there is going to be a step from the inlet to the head but that can wait for the time being. Something I will maybe look into at a later date but would probably need a new head to do that. Will update again once I hear back whats happening.
