Good price for those boots. We bought our gear at Autosport show saving us £600 so wasn't too bad for us.

Out of interest, do I need to get a competition log book for the race car? I'm thinking yes but just wanted to check.

Nah, you're thinking of rallying, you need a log book for that...

Has anyone got a photo of how they mounted their cut off pullcords on the scuttle panel?

Here is where mine is mounted, push button is for electric fire extinguisher and the pull-cord goes just next to it.

Mines in a similar place but just mounted into the plastic scuttle panel cover.

Great, thanks guys. I tried mounting to the scuttle but didn't get it in the right place to clear the bonnet. Will sort it out next weekend.

Hi all,

Still trying to drum up as many numbers as possible for French Trophy (now renamed Tricolore Trophy) series for next year.

We've currently got 20 entrants for the series, but there's always room for more and we're actively seeking new members. It's also been confirmed that the first round at Rockingham (on 5th and 6th April) will run a dedicated race just for the Frenchies - i.e. no shared grids with other series.

Here are the:

sporting regulations
registration forms

The updated technical regs are also available:

Full race
Production class

So.... any more takers?! Hyper

I think we need to get all of us in 1 series, just for a 1 off race. Would be a bit of a laugh.

Well as I've said before Dan, we could easily make that happen! The TARC will waive the registration fee for a taster round.....!

I've always thought that a 306 race series would be ace, like a clio cup series but much cheaper! Could have different classes with SC cars etc but only allow certain suspension and brake mods to keep costs down. Suppose you could do the same thing with Clios and even type-r's etc now there cheap enough!

I had green stuff in a road car and cooked them easier than motor factor pads! For that reason alone I won't use ebc again, I know people rate the yellow and blue stuffs though.

The Blue's are pretty good until the first time you overheat 'em a little, then they go to s**t and leave deposits all over the discs.

I used mintex race pads in my standard 306 rallye and they lasted a 40mins race fine, ran them on standard discs for the years race season and they are still both good!

main thing is the brake fluid, get some good competition stuff in there and change it often, I did mine after 2 races as you could tell it had been hot and could notice the difference.
