I think im too old for you to be a random love child of mine, i started young but even then that would be pushing it Laugh

Im surprised a crappy car company did not try and make a new car using the 306 chassis actually, if i was a malaysian car manufacturer thats where i would start Ninja

I quite like that, feels low for me. Im 6'4" though.

Perhaps we could have more adjustability with the seats to cater for everyone Yes

Driscs on the rear so that parking up with the handbreak on for longer than 15 seconds doesn't result in the car dragging its arse everywhere until you strip and clean it.

Tapered needle wheel bearings that can be adjusted.

Wider cam belt.

In fact sod the belt and put something newer in there with variable timing, or a turbocharged 1.8 (1.6 for non GTi models).

Either a 6 speed gearbox that isn't as wide as the titanic was long and has sensible gear ratios or just stop p**sing about and put a 5 speed box in there like they should have done and think up some other marketting gimmick instead.

Hydraulic clutch that doesnt seize from the heat of the exhaust manifold.

A/C pipes that aren't made of papier mache.

PSA did it themselves and called it a Xsara. Razz Other than being a bit uglier, they feel much like a 306 to drive, only better put together and tighter. I'd definitely consider a phase 1 if i found one in the right colour for the right price (and if i had any money).

Better brakes, better tyres, lowered, 200bhp and a lot more protection from the factory in terms of protecting the car from the elements. Yes

I wouldn't trade the engine, I think the RS lump is awesome. Perhaps an all alloy block would be nice, but other than that i'd definitely stick with it.

They can keep their 1.6T engines, I wouldn't be interested.

all alloy block eh? hmm, oh yeah, that'll be the EW10J4S in the 206 gti180... the one that makes 10bhp more, and more torque, in a lighter car.

shame about the rust and crap beam though LOL

Yeah, that's a good engine. Alternatively an Xu7 with Rs bits on.

Why don't 180's feel that quick? I drove one recently that WAS putting out proper power and it just felt a bit wet. Not absolute s**t, just not as good as a 6. Still, In terms of straight line speed I would imagine the 206 to be quicker. Perhaps this one was a bad example, looked nice, clean and unabused though.

I think it would be fun to have an engine with VVTLI, VTEC or similar in a 6 though. If I had cash, time, patience and a spare 306 lying about would be fun to give it a go Yes

3 years ago, i was very eager in getting this engine into my ZX16V, but the project turned too costly.
the ECU read the vehicle speed from the ABS sensor through the CAN BUS, and it won't fits into ZX/306 wheel.
without the signal the ECU will set the engine into limp mode with 2000 RPM limit.
so i left with 2 options :
1) install aftermarket ECU, a one that include electric throttle function,
and doubling the project budget.
2) program the original ECU to avoid the ABS sensor speed input,
i found some guy in Netherland who did that trick in his 206RC dirt racing but he refused to connect me
with his programmer, and send me to french workshop he said can do it too,
i spend 2 month to get someone to speak with the french guys which denied it's alleged tuning ability,
finally i ran out off money and regret that i wouldn't buy in the first place the GTI-6 engine when i had the money.

off course, it's financial wisdom to install 800 pound ECU on 300 pound engine
