Erm right, so to be clear - you think that in order to Get Our Country Great Again we should do one of two things:

1) Measure every sign, blade of grass, tangible item in the whole country, validate every line of every law and bylaw, murder anyone who builds a shelf of non-regulation size, cut off people's hands for theft, kick out anyone "foreign", close the gates to immigrants and foreign trade, before setting back off using force to re-conquer the world and set up an Empire that we control through force

OR

2) "introduce new guidelines for manufacture"

That's quite a manifesto you have there.

Owain's views haven't earned him a backlash, nor have anyone else's but yours. Perhaps you need to read back what you have written and see if you can start to understand what it is about your views in particular that are so unpopular?

I think you are in the minority on many of your views Mr. White.

I quite agree Jim, but that doesn't make my views wrong no more than it makes others right. They are all opinions, agree with them, disagree with them. After all, what we discuss here isn't exactly going to decide the next Government is it...

Ah that's a shame, Bumming By Camel for not reading a sign properly, and the guy who made the sign gets dumped into the Swamp of Sadness from the Neverending Story and slowly sinks into the mud and dies like Artex the horse when he lets the sadness get to him, leaving Atreyu to go on alone until that big paedo luck dragon finds him.

Because it was the most appropriate GIF I had available to me at the time, plus if I knew someone was going to find me dead, I'd probably want my internet history gone.

Not read the rest but no no no Stan, the prisons are full up as it is and the thing most people forget is that the gov have to think about are the consequence effect on the things they do, all a balancing act.

I agree there has to be grey areas but also things like this sign not being visable enough is wrong, it would effect a lot of drivers. I dont fancy a hitler run country because once allowed where would it end??

The only real way of sorting crime out is helping people with their personal problems or abuse or similar, give all schools the exact same high education as the private schools then in a generation or two crime would come down, getting rid of poverty woukd also help towards sorting it all out. The economy being good where big companies take some profit on the chin just to give more jobs out instead of this overly greedy civilisation we currently have.

I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, I'm saying your views on how the country should be run are wrong. Not that you can't have an opinion. I'm just glad the people running the country for the most part don't have the same ideals as you.

£37,000 a year to keep someone in prison (PDF)

EDIT: £3,149,669,942 in total to run prisons in 2010-11. Stan could build himself an amazing People's Palace for that.

last year over 90,000 people were convicted of drink driving.

    Lets do the maths...

    90,000 x £37,000 = 3,330,000 per year.

over 20 years, with no inflation added, and we know the cost of keeping someone in prison for a year will go up, probably double in the next two decades...

    £66,600,000

    Great plan Stan.

your figures are way out! they are about 10000 times what you put there!

    90,000 x £37,000 = 3,330,000 per year. £3,330,000,000

    x20
