Just a quick heads up after Carl Chambers told me his Rallye is featured in todays Auto Express if anyone fancies a read up on the top rated Peugeots of all time.

306 GTi6 came in at 6
306 GTi6 Rallye came in at 2

This confuses me. I understand the rallye is limited and a bit quicker and lighter however, I cannot justify Autoexpress featuring 3 other Peugeots between the 6 and the rallye when there's only marginal difference in the 6 and the rallye.

They should have just had GTi6/Rallye as one car. Or had the Rallye at position 5 or the GTi6 at position 3. If you know what I meanYes

Jamma the Rallye is best for sure sorry! get over it!

if they had it as one car then that would mean less of a bonus that the 306 is in the twice!

the Rallye is better because its a limited edition and hence why its worth more! it has more raw appealSmile

anyway its a great 32 page Peugeot feature, just be thanksful its in there, as that should help values get out of the gutter!

Ner its a gimmic to get rid of left over stock, same car on a diet. It has no different brakes, suspension, engine bar aux items so the most important uprated stuff is the same.

If owning one makes people feel more special than owning a 6 then all is good.

Yes I know. They aren't the same car.
If you'd owned a Rallye you might understand, but then you'd go and put a 80kg LPG tank in it.

Ahhhh, an easy mistake to make, for a young Mayhew. They've been observed, in the wild, to be confused over much simpler tasks.

Yes, that, for example.
When the weather conditions change, suddenly, it throws them, and they (for some very strange reason) decide to drive on the right-hand side of the road.

The rallye is a rebadged 6, same species differnt weight. If it was a rally car then it would have much more extras but instead it has less than a 6. I can make my 6 a rallye any day of the week, put a rallye badge on take aux parts out and hey presto i have a rallye. It seems people like then for names sake, much like people that have to wear designer clothes lol.

6 all the way for me. Next to nothing in it and I got working a/c and electric windows plus a lower insurance group.

P1 all of the benefits of being lighter (Lighter than a Rallye)
Air con present
Along with the best seats

Clearly the best 306 is a Phase one GTi-6 on about every level, Including looks in my opinion
