Looks perfectly fine tbh.In the event of your death from injury caused through accident, please can you leave the car to me in your will? (I am sure you wont die though as that cage looks fantastic. really well thought out. wouldn't at all make me want to catch the bus instead. the bus actually looks better if you decide to put the wheels on. the bus also has a bigger engine. and more power. also much less likely to kill me.) ________________________________________ 205 GTIXsara HDI |

Thx DCC@ Welshpug ,youre done with the ZX? no? beat it Uhmm that it doesnt comply with your MSA regulation or whatever i dont mind my Wiechers cage in the ///M3 was like this, Cusco cages are like this,Autopower ,Kirk etc etc I agree the frontlegs would be a bit stronger when they dont curve in front of the dash, but i dont see the problem, the angle isnt even that. Youre dead anyways when you crash hard in a pos frenchmeatball like the 306.... tip: just dont crash |

Paul, what looks like a very promising project is fast being ruined by that cage & your attitude towards members who are trying to tell you it's dangerous. If you post things here & can't take criticism then perhaps you're on the wrong forum ________________________________________ Get used to seeing the yellow one !!!Team 330™ Team "no front end or engine" Team "LIMITED EDITION" I live for the 306 sticker Team 0-60 in 6.44 & standing qtr in 14.808 @ 94.55mph all with std engine 203bhp Corolla T-Sport daily driver stealthier than Kwai Chang Caine |

I don't see how it is dangerous, it is better than nothing being there and a lot better than a "show" cage, I don't think the cage is ruining the car just my opinion. Yes it can be made stronger better etc but if he is not in a competition racing series and it is a road car with the occasional track day why the hell not. All my opinion of course. ________________________________________ TEAM Supercharged Rallye |

Actually it is dangerous, the axial loading capacity is substantially less on the dog leg and as it has minimal lateral support it's likely to crush your legs first and then impale you. mind you, you probably won't feel a thing as the carbon cards will have shattered and sliced all your nerves other than that car looks great |

Your project is very impressive and members have given you many compliments on it, but there's no need to be confrontational when members try to point out areas that could be improved or are dangerous. Read through other threads and you'll see that they are the same. Guys everyone is entitled to their opinions i agree, tastes differ... what you like i dont have to like...vice versa But if your thinking that , CAR LOOKS s**t,CAGE LOOKS s**t is positive critisism to tell me something isnt right, p**s about then! The w**ker is driving a 50 quid ZX and i gotta take that serious? I understand your point and your starting a discussion in a normal way and hey thats what the forum is there for i think, have discussions etc about parts/cars. So now everyone whos driving around with CF doorcards needs to remove them, since they will slice you in half when you get in an accident, lets talk about wooden steeringwheels then?, let talk about people adding 400kg of polyesther into the boot and fill er up with another 200kg of speakers and subs and keep the stock brakes. What about the people who use cf/polyesther bonnets and use the cheap bonnetpins, and who loose their bonnet on the motorway. Thatll be fun when your driving behind that. What about people who are strapped into the car with nice 4 points and use stock/race seats without a a cage, ever wondered what will happen to them if the flip the car? THAT IS DANGEROUS What about 90% of the people with a cage in their cage dont even have propper padding, THAT IS DANGEROUS! Ever seen what a flywheel can do to a driver when it comes trough the floor of a car? People who have 400+ BHP in a 306 , THAT IS DANGEROUS I understand that the frontlegs will be stronger in another design, i fully agree, but when Wiechers is still selling them like this,Cusco ( made by 21st Japan and they make cages for the JTCC) i dont think it will that mega life threatening to begin with. If i ever crash and live to tell i will certainly post up here To make a long story short, i like sharing the project on the forum, and YES i can take critisism no problem, and thank god tastes differ, or all of your wives would be sleeping with me. If you got something to say , something negative , no problemo, but just dont give me the bulls**t comments like s**t car etc and if i wanted a real racecar and compete in events i wouldnt have bought a pos frenchmeatball anyways. Cheers |

Tbfh, Wiecher and Cusco make s**t cages, so don't use them as justification, they generally make overpriced stickered up tat for style/scene whores.By the way, it's not just 'our' MSA, they're not allowed by the FIA either without undergoing certification. Whilst in most cases of an accident that cage will be better than not having one, it does increase the chances of the a pillars intruding into the leg space in a bad one. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. I get that the cage isn't the greatest. but how can it be worse than nothing at all, surely that isnt the case? You would be better of with than without when upside down for sure. Tbh if you flip a road car youve basically just ran out of talent BIG TIME and are trying too hard imo. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

No offense meant, I think your car is great and agree that your cage is better than no cage. I also agree that if it was made up from scratch, why not just use straight A pillar legs. I have that on my rollcage and it doesnt exactly get in the way. ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Hahah no problem at all mate.Had a quick fit of a Gutmann Cup edition rim, IMHO theyve got potential! As theyre made specific for the 306 the fitment is perfect!!! 7x17 with a ET 12 And not forget to mention theyre light! 8.6 kilo a piece , vs 7.9 kilo for the 1.2s They look A LOT LIKE Porsche wheels THe centrepart looks strange due the flash.... Perfect fitment! Ill be keeping these and see what i can come up colorwise etc. When the freshly painted Challengers get back ill decide what wheels ill be sporting, the 1.2s or the Challengers, maybe ill fit full slicks to Gutmanns just for the heck of it |
