Sounds like you've had a right mare today...Getting the timing checked would be a good idea, at least it rules it out. I would be so interested to see this car in the flesh now, it really is a puzzler and I want to get to the bottom of it and it's not even my car... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

would be amazing if you did get to the bottom of it, i really cant think of anything else it could be.today i had a 100 mile round trip, sitting in 6th along the M1 where its a 50mph limit, the car was "kangarooing" a fair bit like i was in the wrong gear so had to use 5th |

Except you've changed the lambda, the wiring loom and the ECU... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

exactly, thats whats so puzzling about it.theres no evidence whatsoever of a blow in the exhaust either, i think tomorrow il have the centre section back off and check again for an obstruction as i know that can cause similar faults if exhaust gas is impeded enough. the lambda sensor is 100% secure and it doesnt look like theres been any tampering with the mounting point either. the only other thing i can think of exhaust wise is the decat. its literally a straight bit of pipe been welded in but i have no idea if its sleeved or narrowed or anything. |

i sealed up the crankcase breather hose and took it to get plugged in to dealer software. aparently it was a right nightmare to communicate with it for some reason, but he got in and found tons of fault codes. reset them, did a software update and helped the ecu re learn default values and *touch wood* its been fine since.he hooked it up again for me earlier today and there were no fault codes at all....so happy days |

thats pretty much it in a nutshell.i just cant afford to run it with the number of miles i do. fact is il never be able to enjoy it, its cost me way too much to be able to anyway thats why im having to sell it at a loss. costs more than i can afford in fuel and by the looks of it im going to be doing alot more miles than i already do so need something more economical. this is the last 306 i will own. |
