Is it wise to spend 20k on the car then have no money to maintain it. Especially if your looking at m3/m5s. Or are you getting regular 20k lumps of cash Just seems abit risky to me ( takes sensible head off) get an m5 |

Oh I wouldn't mind a CAT D, I was only talking to my mate about the same thing the other night. He wouldn't I would... he said that they would be harder to shift when you want to sell it. |

Or are you getting regular 20k lumps of cash This is the most relevant post so far. If you buy something for around 15k to 20k you'll need a decent regular income to run and maintain it. Probably best spending around the 10k to 15k mark and be able to run it for several years. I expect to see a for sale thread in the next few months for a tasty car. |

?!? if you buy a supercar like an m3, rs4, 911 etc then regardless of the purchase price it'll cost proper coin to keep in good order so if you're on a budget then i'd forget anything remotely costly!________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

And in which situation do you think the OP will have more 'proper coin' available to spend? Change from 10K or change from 19K? Change from 10K + OP's annual income = longer running car. |

i'd just spend the 20k on the 306 having said that I bought an m3 at 21 and spent a total fortune on it, but it was fun. only young once etc that cl55 Amg could ruin even a footballer ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

It wouldnt bother me as most cars have had paint/work regardles of HPI status |
