My mate wants a change of car. He's had a 205 GTI since '97 which we mi16'd in 2002 and has decided its time to change. Its come down to the above (CTR or '6).

I love the '6 so am swaying him that way and tbf have very little experince of the CTR (other than a quick nip (no pun intended LOL ) up the road in one

Please air you thoughts... Dunno

ctr is very tunable both n/a and forced but then again so is the 6, hmmm i think it depends on buget

If I were going back to a hot hatch I'd likely go for a CTR over a 6. 6 was a good car in it's day - but that day has goneSad

Up to £3.5K, bit more for right car. I say a charged '6 FTW

It was just the right choice for me given my needs. Just a weekend toy so wanted something that I know won't break when I want to use it otherwise it would be a right pain in the arse!

    I suppose, but his 205 still holds its own and has never broken down in over 10 years (rare I know). Its just a little bit 'uncomfortable' now my mate is heading for the Sunday driver speed limit...

    Surely a gti-6 is like 1200 where as a civic type r is 3k plus for one that isnt s**t?

    Ep3 for reliability and tuneing to get good performance but then a 6 is more fun and chuckable ive had all 3 gti6 , rallye , ep3 type r
