Rallye/6 for me.

I had a Rallye for 5 years then a CTR for a year - just didn't have the same confidence with it. One of few cars I regretted buying.

I have owed a Dc2, 3x Ep3 and a S2000 plus a Elise S1 135 Sport.....

Best on track and fastest is the Elise no question about it, most fun on track is the S2000, then Dc2 followed by the Ep3!

The old Type R's are pretty cheap now, some going for £3-£4k

Never driven one but always considered getting one. Mainly because I like Honda's and cant afford anything faster then a Type R. Plus I really wanna feel V-Tech kick in yo. I might swap the Rallye for one one day.

The 306 is more comparable in age/performance terms, to the EK type r in my opinion. I reckon that the then established 6, was used as a benchmark(among others) by Honda, when they developed the EP CTR. The fact that people still compare the EP CTR to our cars is flattering. LOL

TBH both cars to a degree have had their day in standard form. There are better, more modern rivals out there, which may cost more but are infinitely better cars, RS Megane R26 springs to mind....

LOL touché my point was both cars are probably very similar, but by the same token in the hot hatch arena there's a lot of other more potent contenders.
