Correct. But the money you save on purchase price with a '6 will enable you to run it 'free' for at least a monthLOL

You get what you pay for. GTi-6 has been in SOTW on pistonheads Laugh my ass off

I've seen plenty of jap crap that would fit right in with SOTW Yes my rallye is reliable and I know pretty much how to change most things that wear out and what I know about CTRs apart from most people that drive them are either a knob gobler or just strange LOL Is feck all Yes

EP3 doesn't handle anywhere near as good as a '6!
I like ctrs, but I'll stick to my six Smile
IF I could afford a ctr and a GruppeM Carbon airbox, I might change mind Big grin

still laugh when people say the 6 is unreliable. Take out my last 6 which was a tapper. I've had 4 306's and all been very reliable. Its all down to luck and how well its been looked after. I like the ctr but its too low for My liking. Feel every little bump, makes the 6 feel like luxury and thats saying something! I like the power and looks aren't bad. But its now become the car that every chav has owned and thrashed. Prices on them are coming down fast. And the one i have experience with was far from reliable.. . . But that was a mates who used to make it bounce round corners! No lie it was scary not fun

To be fair I think it comes down to how much money you want to spend and what ur going to use the car for.... I've never driven a CTR but having had a few battles with Ed and Kipps at oulton last November, one modified engine wise, one modifie suspension wise, they are very capable and I would consider one if I was in the market for another hot hatch!

Sweet, mine should have the boost controller fitted for Anglesey. Providing it doesn't blow-up on the rollers it should be fine. If it does then the Type R is in for a raping
