Swear at a cop, you get charged.

Mouth off to serving staff, they mess with your food.

Swear at an Admin, you get banned.

F**k with people in a position of authority you get punished, simple. And as said it's a temporary visit to the naughty step, so more of a chance for everyone to cool off than a severe punishment.

Just my tuppence...

I think its completely f**king stupid that everyone can read everything including the FAQs (well those left anyway) and not have to pay. Sure they can't ask a question, but tbh 99.5% of the info is already on here for them to see and google will find it.

Stan: I think you need to take a step back, stop posting on absolutely everything and enjoy some time with your new little 'un. You don't get this time back - never forget that - the forum isn't important Thumbs up

Personally, I believe the introduction of the pay to post site is a welcome addition. Whittling down the numbers to those that have a genuine interest in the '6 such as myself can only be a good thing and will surely make the site more informative. If I didn't have '6 I'd not be on the forum, I have better things to be doing with my time, which is why I'll be glad to see those who don't have anything constructive to add and those who slate the '6 do one Thumbs up

The fact that everyone can read everything is neither here or there IMO. A lot of members are here for the fun and banter of the forum. Many members who have been here for years don't need to come on and find/ask for information, they are here for the fun and enjoyment of chatting with people whom they have been chatting to for years with similar interests.

Adam, you're a classic example. You don't have a 306 anymore and drive a Volvo. Why are you still here? Because its a good community where you can have a laugh and keep up with long time friends. The 306 is getting on a bit now and that's mainly the focus of the forum nowadays. Yes, there are still technical discussions going on of course but in the main its long timers which keep the community thriving, a community which I'm proud to be part of. Smile

As for 'stop posting', I post if I have something to say as you have done in the above quote. That's the point of the forum, to post. If no-one posted there wouldn't be anything to read. I can take a backwards step if people would like and just Admin from behind the scenes, but surprisingly enough I, like many of the rest of you enjoy being here and contributing to discussions where applicable. Lets get this site progressing for the better and let the good times continue...Thumbs up

I'll tell you what the issue is with people not paying:

1. People don't like paying for something that was once free, they get used to it and see it as their right (i.e. Facebook)
2. Stan I think it would be best if you framed the paying as its essential to run the site due to all the costs involved server space domain name, fixing issues etc
3. People aren't used to paying to post, i think its quite a rare format and most forums are free and they fund themselves through adverts

Just my ideas, I think this site is great and its full of AMAZING information and fun people and there is no doubt I will be getting a membership, but the above were the things that went through my head

No idea on a price I've not really thought about it. Initial plan was to sell it this spring rather than keep it but I like it.

Spec wise it's ph1.5 1.9 shell with a standard 6 lump in it and up rated brakes. Converted properly, not thrown in of an afternoon. I spent many an evening an weekend paiting everything and getting new bolts to be a big girl. For me the conversion is more the fun part opposed to driving the finished thing. I spent way too much on it with genuine peugeot parts etc but kept me out of mischief over the winter. Have suspension to go on it but never have to time to sort the beam.

Il do a project thread on it at some point.

I was going to strip it out, cage it and what not but the interior is fairly decent and I just can't justify rippin it out, and shelling out for a decent cage when it wont get on track more than a few times a year.
