Dropped the car off for a week with Edwards Motorsport to get the exhaust done.
Gone for a 2.5" through system with a 3" rolled out pipe and nice big silencers

Well..... Its urr
Loud.
Very Loud.
My face hurts.

I'm taking it back to get bigger boxes as its really weird,

Its So So So loud before 4k And then when you get to exactly 4.2k its sounds quieter than at lower revs and is EPIC sounding. Seriously it sounds sooooo awesome when you are above that point.
But below it its unbearable.
But the rate at which it eats up the revs after 5k now is silly that in the sound clip you can hear the limiter as im like What the $#$#? Already?!!
Heres the pics.

That's strange how it gets quieter, what is the score with altering it then, do they charge you for it?

Looks spot on fit and qualityCool

Back box is way too small though, hence the noise!
They could fit a much longer and rounder box in the space they have thereYes

The Torque Technique system I had was like this, way too loud under 4000rpm and part throttleThumbs down

The Jetex one is massive and still makes a bit of noise, plus it weighs a bas**rd ton!

+1 on WTF is going on with your rear arch liner, actually that should be a -1?

PMSL I have no idea....
It wasn't me anyway, I'll sort it now Razz

I'm hoping they are ok with putting a bigger box on, Although its honestly just 1k to 4.2k that is too loud for me.
Above that sounds epic.
Almost "v" engine style.

Looks a quality built system but as others have said the boxes look small although I feel your pain as I've done same I had custom system built to make it quiet but mines also to loud so will be going back for even bigger silencers. Seems a hard car to get quiet enough

Did you give the exhaust builder a spec apart from the diameter of the pipes . I've heard powerflow and longlife are pretty good when it comes to after care.

You thinking of a bigger middle section?

I used power flow but the dealer has since gone bust so will be going to longlife next as that's next closest. Seem to know what there on about and have got a db meter so can test it on site to make sure it'll be fully track compliant

I hate the tailpipe on a jetex though... and they have a restriction in them which put me off
I hope the alterations are going to be free, as at the moment my car is about twice as loud a gti6max's charged 6
Hopefully i should be sorted soon though
