Yeah, I bought it off a member on here, pdd114c I think it was.

It had some issues with the cage I had to fix, then I kind of got carried away.

Not sure what you mean. Is it stuck on wrong or something? If it is its just how it came, I've had more important stuff to do on it than stickers.

Quiet day today and it was peeing i down.
So headed over to my mates and we popped the front end in his garage to give it a mini service.
Gave it 4.5 litres of Fuchs finest 10w50 new oil filter and busted out the K&N cleaner kit on the filter for the first time since ive had it (Naughty naughty...)

Took it out for a quick blast in the rain on roads I know well around here and its fresh as a spring chicken...

DAT front end though...MEH

Same goes for the exhaust....
(Hopefully next week?)

Not much to note really, Other than its booked in with Edwards Motorsport for the 11th of May for a new exhaust (Cannot wait )
Ive gone for a 2.5 inch system but am as of yet undecided about whether i want a round tail pipe (about 2.75) or an o.e styley oval.
Oh, and im umming and arring about rich w bushes in the usual way i make decisions, I.e i change my mind about every 5 seconds

What I do is commit to buy things I can't afford then once I've bought them wonder how I'm going to pay for my rent. I'm going to see my accountant on Thursday so going to find out how much of a tax rebate I'm getting, then watch the things happening on my project thread Smile

That is going to cost you then?

Lmao Del boy..
Yeah everything up to this point has cost a pretty penny. Hopefully it means that it will turn into some uber reliable car seeing as almost none of it was made in the 90s now Big grin
Somehow im not sure :/

I've changed every single piece of the suspension (or will have) so I hope that should be OK. The engine on the other hand may not be as reliable, but I've got a spare in the garage ready for such occasions.

Yeah, I'm sure thats going to be fine Smile
In hindsight ive bought a lot of the front end with a view to getting the struts etc built up and then fitting to the car, the reality is its taken so long to get to this point i just want it sorted now really.
So i probably could have saved a bit.

Theres something nice about shiny stuff though

Anything that comes in a new box really, just boxes of stuff to go on. I've got loads of oily parts but then I've done it in a lot less time with less money. I'm doing everything with the view that I don't want to change it unless it's faulty really. The parts I'm fitting are the parts that are staying, at least till they get bent out of shape!

What are the Vibratechnics ones like then, I've not heard of anyone using them but they are a lot cheaper. I'm going all out though and getting Rich_W's. I just put my tax return in and getting a rebate of £1700, which I hope to get by next Friday. I will be sitting in the house ordering shiny bits I'm sure. I need to make a list before I start though so I don't get too excited and blast it all

Nice rebate Smile
Yeahh I mean there supposed to be good but ive heard no comments like
Vibratechnics basically add 15mph to the speed you go around a roundabout.

Which is a phase thrown around left right and centre when talking rich w ones

Well I worked it out that with my:
New rear beam +10
Solid mounts +15
Rich_W bearings +20
B8's & Eibach's +15
Yoko AD048's +25

So I'm looking at a roundabout speed of around 135MPH. I can see no issues with trying this on my first outing, there is a lovely roundabout near me that has a nice straight leading to it. I'll post pics when I'm done
