I agree modern cars are brimming with grip, but in a straight line only I think the low boost would win. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

buzzbrightyear wrote: I can't really comment then as I know f*ck all about these renos except they drop apart after 6 years That's okay, none of us actually know what we're talking about. It's an internet car forum, therefore it's all about putting forward subjective opinions as facts, and adding random speculation with no proof whatsoever. Get involved! A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Ok Reno would not stand a chance against a standard gti6 in the power, braking and handling department. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

That's better. Also, the British air in the tyres would make a '6 suffer less from tyre pressure fluctuation than the cheap French air in the Megane's tyres.Of course this only applies if the Meg is still on its original tyres. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

I find it amusing about what I could have if I chucked 10k at the volvo. Would be very, very silly but also very funny and i'd be almost certainly divorced ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Hangon a minute... Whos actually tested it.. oh... Just me..Considering my lbsc is track/road spec... It laughs all over my mates r26 on and off track. Out of corners hes got low boost turbo which spins up stupidly quick but i can carry much more speed and turn tighter. Im not blowing my own trumpet, ask anyone whos been out in kine track. ED? Swap drivers and still the same outcome.. he think the sc6 reminds him of a vtec car, keep it singing and it rules. A few mods on the megane and itll easily out see most cars let alone a super 6. We had a f1 rolling road at 300bhp with little money. ________________________________________ Team Supercharged Gti-6NV Motorsport Automotive Performance Tuning 0121 448 7515 ECU Remapping/ DPF removal VAG/BMW Diag and Option Coding Peugeot Planet ECU coding/transponder programming etc www.nvmotorsport.com Facebook Page Project S6 |

Your is quite special though, as opposed to my pretty normal lbsc6 1250kg, 249bhp makes quite a difference I would imagine. ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

Mike (cosmic spanner) got a consistent 5.8 seconds to 60 mph when he was testing his low boost setup, which is (very slightly) quicker than an R26.R. (Measurements made with a VBOX)(With Ash's 310mm brake setup it also stops faster than the R26.R) Anyone got any high resolution GPS verified results for the R26.R to counter this? ________________________________________ Rich |
