Just had a look at the other thread about average owners ages and was wondering what is the average age of a supercharged 6 owner, high or low boost, please state which.

I was 20/21 when I had a low boost charger setup and 23 when I had my high boost engine done, I'm 24 now and will have a super high boost turbo engine in a month or 3 Smile

I don't think you need to be earning a lot of money to be able to supercharge your 6 TBH. A low boost jobbie is only the price of a more modern hot hatch nowadays. So i guess it's good value for what you get.

My only issue is that you'll never get the true value of the car when you come to sell it. Even selling on the supercharger kit on it's own won't get you your money back (you never do with mods) Obviously it's totally insignificant if you plan on keeping it for a long time!

My Lotus will be getting all Rotrex'd up hopefully next year and it's going to cost a fair bit more than it does for a low boost 6. IIRC a fitted price of around £7.5k will net me around 280bhp - it only runs at 7psi too - so again a low boost jobbie. However it's enough to get the little plastic car to 60 in~4 seconds, a tonne in ~9 seconds and flat out around 160-165mph Ninja

Nice! I take it you have already done the suspension, brakes, tyres, driver, etc Wink

24, no debt on it.

as said it isnt that much to spend on it, but it is alot to spend on a 10 year old car hence the justification.

I'm going to be 30 this year and thinking of getting it done, anyone know how much it might cost to get it done on a 6 low boost and the best place to go?

1) give Rich_w a call/pm from Lynx.
2) it will cost you around £3500-4000.

There are endless threads on this mate. Lynx is the place to go, just use the search.

Nope but there's plenty of time for that! It won't be done for a good 18 months possibly longer! Depends on finances. However brakes will be done in the next month or so. Going for CL's RC5+ and some decent fluid. As for suspension I really want Nitron NTR'S 46mm jobbies. Trouble is they're £1500 ish plus setting up fees Shock
