welshpug! wrote: there's no "vent" behind the number plate there isnt anymore mines a phase one not sure if the newer bumpers are different. you cant really see that well but the old place for the number plate covered a long thin grill. i doubt it has much difference to air flow. you cant see my single wiper that well either works a treat a looks neat though. ________________________________________ the world is changed by people in sheds |

The mirrors don't offend me but the number plate does.Fit a "slightly" smaller verison back in the normal place if you must do anything, but dont leave it on the side. looks like you've had a bump and cable tied it on at the scene of the accident. Plus, whats with the welding? I thought the single wipers were a bolt on mod? ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? the number plate at the fronts getting a square one soon. and wont be fitted wonkily this time i made sure i changed most other neccesities (engine suspensiopn etc) before i splashed out for the cosmetic thingsi already had this installed on my 1.4 so id done all the testing, measuring and making it work perfectly on that, was just a case of uinbloting and cutting it out then re-welding it and yes the storm wiper kit is a bolt on mod. i did buy one but wasnt happy with its off central pivot position and the coverage wasnt that great. so i adapted it. its sits smack bang in the middle and gets a larger coverage than standard. all i used from the storm kit was the two new crank arms at either end. and the bar is shaped that way on purpose. (clearance needed) its works perfectly and you cant see the roughness once the black scuttle plates are back. i havnt seen a single wiper kit for the 306 other than the storm kit despite searching everytwhere and posting on here, that gives a central pivot and reasonable amount of coverage. so i made my own. im contemplating swapping my washer jets from my bonnet to my wiper. did this on my old 1.4 and worked well, no overspray. ________________________________________ the world is changed by people in sheds |

With a square plate it'll look just like a Jap import... unique. The old school purists would have had a field day with this a few years ago (when they still came on here), it certainly looks very unusual and, for that reason, I'm out. ________________________________________ 340 horses |

Offset number plates look daft and try-hard unless it is on a Alfa 156 or some other car where it is designed to be like that. On a Pug 306? Fail. And it is crooked anyway, but I think you mentioned that. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |
