Was told factory ones are ok as they comply with the strict regs for spacing etc. I thought it was stupid myself. If you are going to make and sell plates, even if they are pressed, why not make them same spec as normal? Mine were illegal as he held up a template over my plate, and the gap between the V560 and the JTW was something daft like 2mm wider. So it's not legal ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Now that is nice admittedly... ________________________________________ "Rules are for the interpretation of wisemen and the obedience of fools" (Colin Chapman, Lotus founder) |

si_man306 wrote: you've fitted a huge square number plate to the side which is clearly blocking part of the lower grill (which IS meant to have clear airflow)....? Is there something i'm missing your missing a different perspective its not apparent on the pics but its not blocking the lower air vent, just the unused fog light hole. your right, i myself doubt it makes much difference to airflow or cooling, in the same way i cant see it hurting. it happily sits at 83 when moving. its my preference really to have it there, like i did on my 1.4. ________________________________________ the world is changed by people in sheds |

No no no, your missing the point. You need a phase 2 or above and cool Rallye stickers. Wheres a photo of simonjames's sc rallye? That's looks good with a square numberplate to the side. Actually is his to the side? I can't remember... ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |
