Door cards I bought second hand off the forum. Not sure where he got them from, sorry mate. Maybe Seb (manthos) can make you some as I see he made himself some.

What do you think of the gearlever/quickshift set-up?Smile

Thanks mate Smile

I think its good, but to be honest its about the same as my last setup (standard gearstick with Compbrake quickshift). I notice with this one, there seems to be some lateral travel in the stick when its in gear. Need to check that out.

What wont help is the other day, I tried to turn round on a neighbors driveway and beached it on the path. It hit my exhaust clamp and hit the gearshift. This popped the circlip out, and popped the gearstick out. Need to get under the car and check out its all good. Seems it to be honest Unsure

Pics of said fail....

Ooops Laugh my ass off

Surely your Mrs. did that, not youShock ............Whistle

Got a compbrake one to fit to mine,is it trial and error getting the shift right/where you position gearstick in bearing?
Or can you recommend a way of fitting it that is spot onThumbs up

It was me, but in my defense I dont think its that stupid. Its a "driveway", that gives me the clue that I should be able to "drive" on it Laugh

..And sorry Kev, I cant advise on fitting as both ones I have bought have been second hand and already had the gearstick fitted. You could ask Hovis16 or Rallye1999 Smile

Right then, so cage is in (for now) need to make some adjustments etc, and still need to fit the door bars etc. Also got the other seat fitted and the new harnesses.

Will let the pictures do the talking ... not that they are good, just cant be bothered to type Laugh

Went to FCS the other day and had some track time, didnt go well though. Rear beam is knackered and didnt really give me much confidence through the corners. This is the next issue to address. Annoying really as was hoping I would get away with it for a bit longer so I can spend some money on trackdays, rather than make it better for track Roll eyes

Picture that Eddy found of me..

Image doesnt work in here.. click here

Bolt in roll cages are c**ts! Especially to fit on your own!

Door bars can do one for the time being as the subframes I bought make the seat sit too close to the door, so cant fit the bar. Will have to custom modify (bodge) the seats to fit.

Will wait until after Pugfest I think..

Prrof that the seats/door bars are being a twat Roll eyes

well easy when there is no seats in there..

going backwards with progress it seems. lost count of how many times the seats have been in and out Laugh

Seat in (and shifted over as far as possible on subframes)

Need to get rid at some point and get some rails sorted out...

So very quickly got annoyed by this and started attacking random bits with a rattle can. Looks s**te up close (I cant spray for s**t, and wasnt primered) but kinda looks better than no paint... at least from a distance..

Oh and recently my mate has been bugging me to go Santa Pod with him to see what I can manage down the strip. This is probably because he has a Jap car and knows its his way of beating me Laugh

As I have another spare set of wheels, with 2 knackered tyres, I decided to buy these off ebay..

Michelin S9C slicks Cool

Curious to see what time I can manage. Slicks, less weight than standard, and supercharged..Mid to low 13's?
