Decided I was fed up with my calipers looking s**tty, but dont want to spend too much time/money/effort on having them done properly as I want to replace them at some point for better brakes. So I bought a tin of red Hammerite to give them a freshen up.Went to take the wheels off and my locking wheel nut socket broke. Slipped and removed some teeth and bent it. Useless So got a mate of mine to give us a hand smashing a socket on to remove them. Nothing is ever easy Car jacked up and ready.. The state they started in (think I have muddled the pics up..) After a clean and masked up. After the first coat. And after the second coat, that'll do. Much better than what they were like. While waiting for the paint to dry, gave the exhaust a quick clean up Random shot of the car looking like a rally slag And finally one of the rollcage padding I fitted a while back ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Not a lot going on with this at the minute. In the process of getting a house, so cant really spend any money on it. (Which is annoying as f**k as want the rear beam sorting and give it some abuse on track).Few pictures of the rear brake tidy up.. Manky old s**te Masked up.. after first coat.. and done, that'll do And one last picture to show my tip top beam.. (no my trailing arms have NOT been machined to give me the negative camber.. lol) ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Plan is to convince my mate to let me store a beam at his workshop while I build it up. Not sure if I should buy a better condition beam, and bung it on for time being, then rebuild my f**ked one? Or rebuild the one thats in better condition to start with? ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

It's all down to the pins, if they're okay then I'd rebuild the current one - if they're f**ked it'd be easier to start afresh ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Couple of pics after a bit of a mop (shame the sun wasnt out...)Also my friend with the RX7 is going to Santa Pod this weekend. Its an RX7 show, combined with "God of the Pod". This involves a handling track and the dragstrip. So going to enter in for that, wish me luck To help me out on the drag strip, I got my slicks fitted today.. ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Little update.Got some new speakers to replace the old/standard tat that was in there. Had no music in the car for ages now, so this is a big step up in "luxary" new vs old Not the best fit (from where the door card was butchered, but they seem all good. This one really needed replacing after an incident involving the roll cage leg during fitting And one of the headunit.. ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Also want a bit of advice for my new battery fitment. I bought a relocation kit, but it came with standard battery terminal connectors. These need to be changed to fit my race battery, but which ones to go for?The top one is 35-10 (already fitted to cable and seems better suited to cable) The bottom one is 25-8 which fits better to the battery. What would you advise? ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

given it looks like a 6mm hole on the terminal, a 6mm hole + bolt would be better would it not?.....________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

welshpug! wrote: given it looks like a 6mm hole on the terminal, a 6mm hole + bolt would be better would it not?..... It would, but those 25-8 ones I already have so its easier for me to use those. I was thinking using a washer, then bolt it up? Some call it "Engineering ingenuity" , but most call it bodging What size connectors would I need then? I assume the second number is diameter in mm? So the first one is 10mm, and second is 8mm? ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |
