Unlucky mate. towed a couple of cars with that bar before and it does require a bit more attention than usual!

Ouch, only ever used a straight bar to tow a landrover/truck. Rope is much more forgiving!

No, bumper has been like that for a while.

All of the supporting brackets along the bottom are broken, and when I last put the bumper back on, I did it on my own. Its better to have someone hold the bumper up in place, while someone else does the bolts up.

Will get it sorted out at some point, it does look awful! Laugh

Legend status needed to tow a car backwards out of a parking space, up a hill and then around a corner with one Wink

Then breaking the tools out the boot, repairing it at the roadside and driving it 300 miles home after buying it as "spares repairs".

I agree with this!

Removed a few of them earlier, most are ok, bit untidy but nothing that bothers me. But that one in the middle (underneath where rear bench was) is a c*nt to get off Yes

Decided to try and chisel under it a bit to pry off, and in true normal "fail" style, ive gone through the floor with the chisel Laugh my ass off

Mine is not going to be neat Laugh

That's the one I made a mess of too, went through the floor twice so tried to chisel them and now the metal is twisted all over!

Does it wang over on the key but never catch? If so, crank sensor is a possibility.

Its not the crank sensor lads. It would start with the small amount of fuel left in the lines, but now wont as no fuel. Fuel pump is not priming and not working.

Got fuel pump from Ash and aiming to fit it tomorrow, lets hope its that Smile

The wire running through the fuse would be broken and tbh if you dont know how to check a fuse you really shouldnt be allowed on the roads Wink

Ash,

On the other fuses (the ones under steering column) they are clear plastic, so you can see the wire. The engine bay ones arent, so cant see if its broken. If that makes sense :S

They all look fine Si Yes

Went and had a browse at local scrappy and raided some fuses from there and changed them all anyways as they look newer and better condition than mine. It hasnt sorted the fuel pump, but it has fixed my HID light (I thought the ballast had died)

While changing the fuses I spotted this little f*cker! I hate spiders!

And while trying to get it out, it ran on my hand. f*cking thing Cry

Also a few pictures of the bracket removal.

couple for clen666

Doh

the metal shards get fooking everywhere

Getting there with the stripping

Another 1.5kg saved, every little helps Smile
