I think i'm going to go for the 3 hour open pitlane. It would be nice to have another battle again.

Ha ha, i've not really done much with mine over winter, it's sat there feeling sorry for itself with the dash and seats in the back ready for Phil to work his magic.I'm not sure when it's going for its cage but hopefully it shouldnt be too long now, i've got the cash saved up ready. I sold a load of crap on ebay a couple of weeks ago and the money burned a hole straight through my paypal pocket and i ended up with a pair of AP Racing CP5200 calipers. It'll be a while before i fit them though as i want bucket seats and harnesses before i put it back on the road. Still havent really done anything with the throttle bodies i bought, they are sat under my bench at work while i decide whether to high comp n/a or s/c it. Either way i will get the brakes and suspension properly sorted before i start chasing power. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Brakes and suspension sorted before chasing power, ive not done this Its strange as the 6 handles so well, but people say spend more money making it better/faster through corners. All well and good, but you need massive testicles to match it, and go flat out through bends. Much easier to add more power so you dont get stuck behind twats in shit jap cars, and when it comes to a corner, a six is good so will get you through it Brakes are on my list of things to do, along with rear suspension. That really needs sorting Fancy lending me that pile of cash you have? Saves you spending it before the cage gets sorted ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Yeah i know what you mean about getting stuck behind other stuff, i find it infuriating, especially when they wont let you past. Hopefully once i've got the suspension sorted i'll be able to carry even more speed through the corners and that will make up for my lack of power. As for being a loan shark i'd best give that a miss, your car is more powerful than mine so i would have a hard time trying to catch you with my baseball bat to break your legs. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Yeah I know even more cornering speed is helpful to gain more on the straight, but if the 6 is half well set up, it should already be quicker through bends to other cars Worth a try with the loaning ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

buzzbrightyear wrote: sounds like you may have a air/boost leak mate. take it you sorted the idle issue? mine was doing similar, fine idle when cold. Minute everything was heat up it would intermittently idle around 1200 to 1500 sometimes more turned out weld joint between supercharger outlet to alum pipe had hairline cracks only giving me grief when the joint was really hot had to get charger off and rewelded my top mount had been f*cked for a few month and that extra movement stressed my welds ________________________________________ TEAM HIGH BOOST SUPERCHARGED RALLYEMy Rallye project thread |

Cheers for the advice Russ Not had the idle issue sorted as the fuel pump is now no longer working Pretty sure its the relay, so once that is sorted, will move onto other issues like the possible boost leak. ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Update time At the weekend should hopefully be going to get myself a new cage Plans are to get it painted like an anthracite/gun metal grey colour. Will ask my mate who has set up his own bodyshop how much he wants, and maybe get the whole of the inside done and tidied up Also been buying a couple of bits and pieces. Got a boost gauge pod from a guy on here, boost gauge off ebay. I wanted a Stack one, but didnt want to pay that much so have bought an unbranded one I like the look of. Its hard with boost gauges as I like subtle nice, not rood boi fast and the furious stylee Will get some pics up when it gets here, missed delivery etc Bought some nice shiny droplinks Also aim to get a battery relocation kit sorted out, and I may be able to source a cheap lightweight battery So much for saving for a house deposit ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |
