Still at Carl's, still dead.

Carl is looking at it as and when he can, in between proper jobs.

I have no doubt that he can fix it.....eventually.

I loved reading this thread! Top work by Tea Boy; that level of skill and expertise is totally inconceivable to me!

I was expecting the car to be running by the end of the thread. Lets hope she breathes soon.

She is alive, just got to put everything back now, a combination of wires pinched in the bay area and a faulty immobiliser ecu frying the engine ecu and two of my locked ones.

I tell you what it was a nightmare to get to the bottom of it. Plenty of late nights on this one.

The moment of truth-

Little bit of belt squeel, sounds good considering its not ran for agggeeesssss.

Now is the point of putting a lot of removed parts back, fill up various levels and see whats what.

Sorted this today, was a silly fault but is all running good now, a combination of a dodgy coil pack and a worn set of plugs.

Gass the aircon tomorrow and she is all yours sat mate.

Well it is home.
I took my mate Shultz down to Carl's and he drove it home.
After a cup of tea I took Shultz home for my first proper drive in it.
I could not have picked a worse night, thick fog and icy roads.
The rallye blanks did not do much when I turned the fogs on.Roll eyes
I did about 75 miles in it.
I must say I thought it was fantastic to drive.
I would take it over Mrs Tea's Audi A4 any day.

Steering wheel is horrible, CarlWhistle

It does drive great.
Even in the awful conditions I really enjoyed driving it.

It has been a lot of work to get this sorted but I feel happy that it was worthwhile.

The main reason it is done and running now is because of all the help I have had from Carl.
If it wasn't for him the thing would still be a dead car.
Thanks for everything Carl, you are the main dude.

Not wishing to sound like an oscar acceptance speech but... thanks to everyone else on here who has helped me out with either parts or advice, or both.

Cheers everyone,

Tea.

Laugh I was going to say the same, but thought someone would correct me as the rev needle is not in action.

Barely worn in that.
