I know, when it was judged, the bloke from clio sport had a pop because he found dirt! its a Track car FFS haha.Anyhow, I've nearly done oulton but ended up losing a day there that I booked due to the car not being ready for it a few years back, went with 2 mates who both had 'offs' one was a complete write off, the other a 2500 quid bill to get his clio sorted. Since then the appeal of oulton has been all that great, its not the most forgiving track! ________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |

Unfortunately your sound system was not quite up to par with what you were up against, I mean where was the banging stereo?! Did they put a tart in your passenger seat so you could drive around in circles in the end? I know Nick abandoned you ________________________________________ '99 1.8 XS - Sold'00 GTi6 - Killed by armco '01 Cabriolet 1.8 - Sold '96 Eunos Roadster 1.8 Import |

Right, well got Blyton on Saturday so trying to get the car ready for that now but the weather isnt on my side. The throttles been sticking and Ive found that to be the cable, appears to be splitting so got myself a new one to see how it is. Also gone and got myself so Roller bearing bushes to go on this week, see what difference these make to it. Photos thank to Rich W's for sale thread. Mine are actually second hand from Andy who was breaking his track car. Also fitted my new oil cooler, will have my old one for sale soon if anyone is interested Full oil change after the rebuilt engine was bedded in, gone for castrol edge this time Also trying a new brake set up with M1166's Again I will have my old pads (practically new DS2500, only covered 500 miles) for sale soon if anyone is interested. Finally some of the more recent photos of it Hoping to have the cable and bottom arms swapped tonight, and get the brakes bled up. Fingers crossed it will sort a knock Ive got, but in reality I know its not the bushes. ________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |

Fitted my repaired oil cooler this weekend, also fitted my coilovers, although not had chance to get them right yet, hopefully this week. Then I can give it a bath as its been ages and its started to go green again.Been after a change of wheels for a while now and finally found some that I thought were worth a try. Got myself a set of 16inch racelines. Going to be selling on my set of 8 of my old ones! Not too sure how they will look, I'm more of a fan of 7/8 spoke wheels but Ill see how they look. Picking them up this weekend. Plan to put them on the rallye for the winter as they are, see how I feel about them and maybe do them white or red next spring if I decide to keep them. ________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |

Went and picked up the wheels on Sunday.Fitted them as soon as I got back. Still prefer my white ones, but after an 8 year relationship with them, haha, its time for a change and these are what Ive got. I will be selling my old set (set of 8 with 5 goot wheels) on once Ive got the tyres off. And fitted Still prefer my white ones but the front still needs to come down a bit on the coilovers which I think will help make it look right, but they are coming back off to get sent to AVO anyhow. I've not had silver wheels on the rallye with the exception of about 3 weeks after I bought it. Just dont think it suits silver, hoping its that and not the wheels (although still going to keep an eye out for other wheels) Thinking of going this style with a white centre cap and red 'Raceline' stickers. Firstly, what do you think of it as it is? Can any one photoshop it for me. One pic with white wheels, another pic with red wheels and maybe another with graphite grey wheels? ________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |

The coilovers 'were' on but have been taken back off as it turns out they wont adjust and need to be set off for repair. Need to send them off to AVO so they wont be ready for Anglesey next week now, but hopefully its getting sorted now and me and the seller.Ive put my original GAZ set up back on with the new wheels, they are growing on my but will need to go a colour. Quick picture with it sat back down again on the new wheels. Just need to swap some pads over and might put some mud flaps on it ready for anglesey! Wanted to run some brake cooling ducting but struggling to find any. Ohh and it needs a blast with the jet wash, green bits are growing again. ________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |

Well Ive given the car a once over, put some new pads on and decided to put some mud flaps on for shits and giggles!Hopefully, all should be good for Friday at Anglesey. Although the tyres on the wheels are shite, seem to let go far too easily so will be interesting on track, especially if the weather is as the forecast! ________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |

That looks smart Ben. I think the wheels look good.I picked up a set of Anthracite Compomotive MO's for my Bianca, that's given me a clue how the car will look but they've never been on yet. That's largely because it's immobile and has been for 8 months now.. ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

Few from anglesey.Got a vid of me on an open track so some good laps, and another with Sean for a good few laps. Had to swap the oil cooler after the 1st session as I had a leak, so that was fun for an hour. Start with the excuses, I had different road tyres to what I usually run, strugled alot with them, had the car all over the place until you got decent heat into them. Usuauly took about 3-4 laps and then they seemed pretty good until they got too hot and dropped right off. Didnt have the confidence in them like I usually do. Getting sideways at 90mph on the quickest corner slows you down haha. Dont know if anyone got to see how bad it was on cold tyres? Anyhow, good video with Sean. Well in the process of trying to get the Brembo's on, I'll probably regret it as everyone goes on about how bad they squeel, but we will see.Still need to work out the best discs to go for and pick up some pads yet. Only tried them on for clearence checks and Ive shaved the calipers down a tad and made some 3 mm spacers up so that they fit without catching the wheels, though Im nothing more than a hairs width away, they are so close. I need to get hold of some decals now and then discs and pads. As I picked them up 1st trial fit With the gti6 disc, wrong offset. They caught the wheels So they ended up being shaved a little 2nd trial fit after 1st coat of fresh paint, close with the 3 mm spacers Final coat of paint ________________________________________ My 306 Rallye Project ThreadFew recent Youtube track videos, more on my channel Pair of Rallye's doing a few laps of Anglesey Lap of Anglesey Coastal 3 sisters circuit Few laps at Blyton |
