Those bits on the left are what your valve shim stacks look like for anyone that hasn't seen any before LOL

Very, very strong Sandvik 20 chro-moly steel, cryo-treated for stress relief, then shot peened with ceramic media, and polished so they tend to hold their strength for far longer than the cheaper, lower-carbon steels normally used.

LOL

I'll have you know that's finest, hand-spun UK-sourced, long pile, twisted wool carpet.

Or it was until I started building car bits on it.

I'm gonna chop open a standard shock and a Gaz rear one as soon as get chance so you can see the difference in the amount of oil flow...Big grin
The shaft alone on these is twice the size of the Gaz/Avo/Koni rears Razz

Working on some dust boots John, but bear in mind these are designed to spend years running in mud/snow/desert/swamp races, the wiper seals are very good LOL

I've specced yours an inch longer than everyone elses to make up for you inadequacies LOL Ninja

They're slightly soft too...Ninja

/sexual innuendo

Probably end up with a bit more compression and the flutter valve stack to knock the initial damping down, but as you want to try to get ridiculus size torsion bars to ride well on the road, thought I'd better set it slightly soft first and test it on the adjusters...Smile

I reckon mine are shinier, and have distinctly less travel by the looks of it! Got to say Koni's and the like are pretty poor compared to a decent quality shock.

Swine, knew I should have specced the polished, black-smoked chrome LOL
I'm actually using Penske pistons LOL

John's are a little longer due to him having slight problems with no travel - hence using some preload on the shock to lift him up a little.

But if we're playing that game, 4 way adjustables:

I'm lost! Why has John got no travel? Can't you use shorter body shocks?

I'm confused with setting up 3 way shocks so god knows what I'd be like with 4 ways LOL

Nah, his car's sat on the bump stops LOL

The foxes have the facility for a bit of extra spring rate + some spring rate adjustment through the gas pressure and oil volume, so I've gone a little longer on his shocks so that it adds some preloads and lifts the car a touch...

'S never heard of a tape measure LOL

Well, you've got some extra bumpstops on the Foxes too just in case LOL

Could always wind the adjusters right up and it'll never hit them, be like riding a giant pogo stick though LOL
