they even list it for the Xsara, but if I were that rich I wouldn't drive a Xsara... ain't?

I don't know how much they are, probably about the same price as some of these, they are black and orange.never understood how the shim stack and valving works properly, it does look strikingly familiar though as I've got a Fox Air shock in Anodised black on my bike, 3 way adjustable and lockout :p ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

The discs deflect to allow fluid flow. The shape, size and the top clamp on the stack as well as the thickness of each shim in the stack, the size and shape of the port, it's position on the piston, and the width of the valve seats, all contribute to the size and shape of the damping curve, along with many other factors. Most of the money in more expensive shocks goes into external adjustablity and getting those adjusters as independent from one another as possible, as well as one way check valves in the bleeds, etc. (don't need those 'cause we're getting away without any bleed holes) ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. ahhh ko and the reservoir gives higher oil capacity to reduce overheating which could lead to cavitation as well as having the pressurised section on top? ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Yes, which also allows me to create some spring assitance pressure - without overheating the damper. It also shifts the floating piston outside of the damper body which allows for more travel/shorter body for the same travel. And in my case it holds some secondary valving in the form of a rotary barrel bleed valve and a digressive blow-off shim/ports for the adjuster. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Spring rate assistance, (graph in the bottom left corner), the preload is variable from the gas pressure, the assist rate they have to come back to me to change, but it's only a 5 minute job:________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. 24lb/inch extra rear spring rate, and 32lb of preload from the gas (ever noticed that putting Bilstiens on raises your car up a little, that's the preload from the gas pressure - the difference between the two lines). What you'd get with a normal gas-pressurised monotube damper then (Bilsteins/AST/Proflex/etc, etc), would be a virtually flat line at 32lb of force - well, the force levels would differ depending upon the gas pressure and the shaft size, but it'd be flat anyway. Not so interesting for those of you with uprated torsion bars, but for everyone else, this means you can have 25-35% more rear spring rate without spending ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Those ones are rather more expensive, but if you don't spec. the adjuster tubes they'll be about the same price as the rears ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
