The springs we use are 60mm id, The chrome shaft on the standard units are 22mm diameter, The chrome shaft on the competition units are 45mm inverted, or 50mm for rally units, The finish is a hard electro coating, as used on OEM equipment. Hello all, finally I found some time to carry on with Adams car , seems to be working well, so I am happy to retail the kit in the next week or so, I have a small change for the valving on the rear, but apart from that im happy with the carachteristics of the damping controll, the standard rear uses a 14mm shaft and a 40mm piston , (very different to our air sprung units!) the cost of the sportline 1 kit with the rears will be closer to |

do you have a good size balljoint on now Adam?I want to hear how the testing goes on! And as asked several times, when can I throw my money away on these? (Curtis said it can happen this week or so, but still no sign of the for sale plates! ) ________________________________________ VTSbest 60' : 2.272 best 1/8 ET : 9.375 @ 74.42mph best 1/4 ET: 14.603 @ 97.047mph Team Trackday™ |

not yet! I've had a short drive of Adam's car now, does turn left VERY well, just not right so much yet Feels very well balanced now, a hell of a lot of grip, I mentioned maybe a little less front spring rate (currently on 280 l and Curtis said try a little less front damping and see how that works. As for the top mounts, I've seen some Saxo/106 ones, and ones on the Norris SWB EVO and they look very well finished and far easier to adjust than most of the cheaper top mounts out there. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

No it didn't get sorted before Curtis went away for another week. I'm going to swap it over myself and get it aligned. Even with nearly half a degree positive camber on the nearside it still corners very well Much happier with the setup now as its loads less harsh and the grip (esp left) is pretty incredible. The standard beam mounts do help to kick the rear out a touch if you're suddenly going a little too fast/run out of balls. Very predictable on the PE2s. I've reduced the front damping as mentioned as it has a good balance at the moment. Yet to really drive stupidly fast down some of my local bumpy test tracks so not 100% sure about the front spring rate. Getting there! ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Finally have the proper balljoint on now. Just got to try to keep the ARB end plate on whilst I find a new beam - fooking thing!Alignment was interesting today - front is all good, rear have the same camber, but one wheel has 15 minutes more toe in. Bearings are on their way out, so those plus the ARB problem is looking like a new beam. Meantime i'll test it a bit tonight and see how it goes - too much traffic earlier so was limited to 45mph everywhere :yawn Current setup before the balljoint was much better over the local crap B roads. I was thinking it was too stiff on the front, but actually it was slightly overdamped. Will update in a few days as its got some miles to do ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

They do work/fit now so I don't see why not. Had a bit of an front inside lift/power understeer issue today as soon as I put 50kgs of weight in the rear but Curtis seems to think increasing the rear damping will help. Otherwise its a lush setup, rides bumps well and gives a really taut turn-in. Massive grip too.Give Curtis a ring tomorrow and ask him if he is happy to start selling. Personally I don't see why not as I think the front spring rate is fine and damper settings are such that you can iron any issues out fairly easily. Do remind Curtis when you speak to him that you have stiffer rear otrsion bars though as you may need more damping on the rear to compensate. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

I did that a few days ago, and he told me after the final adjustments it's ready to be dispatched! And I told him about the torsion bar thing, he said he'll revalve it to suit the Xsara arse! I'm gonna email him again! ________________________________________ VTSbest 60' : 2.272 best 1/8 ET : 9.375 @ 74.42mph best 1/4 ET: 14.603 @ 97.047mph Team Trackday™ |
