proper rally ones, unless there's a massive difference between sportline 2 Remote reservoir and Rally Remote reservoir?

just enquiring on behalf of the guy with the Saxo I've just been to Belgium with, he has spoken to Proflex about it, he told me how much, I thought it wasnt too bad, then he said that was per corner at the front, plus half that each for the rears Crazy

BUT, it seems to make a hell of a difference to the stability of a torsion bar equipped car as nearly all of the cars out there run nice dampers, not surprised really as a little off can mean a 6 foot deep+ ditch unlike the airfields over here LOL

Don't know, but not cheap. They do do them for the saxo as thats what Mr Gwynne runs.

Scrub the beam tomorrow unless Richard from Pugplus has one. Andy has buggered off to America a day earlier than he originally said!

Adam, don't you know the spring rate of the AST Sportline I.? (the usual they give you if you don't ask for something exotic LOL)

Also, what is the ideal ride height with these?

(better to start thinking as I'll soon have these coilovers - fingers crossed tho. LOL)

285 on mine at the moment, see no reason to change it.

Ride height... erm... not sure to be honest as it was on eibachs/konis before. A tad lower than those, but not much. Say -35mm on a rallye max.

new question LOL

my coilovers are in the making now Cool, and I wondered if I'll use the front struts as they'll arrive from Curtis, will I have to adjust the rear beam to compensate the height difference, or was the whole setup designed to use the standard ride height?

Mine has a 20mm drop on the rear, but again no idea on the VTS rear ride height.

I am beginning to love mine after a nice relaxing B road bash early sunday morning. Nothing too flat out, just trying to keep to 60 at all times. Need to have a chat about the inside front lifting though. Might have to go to 21mm TBs after all.

After Meirion/welshpug attacked the car today (wishbones, arb plate, oil/filter, plugs, bit of the exhaust) it now goes round corners. Fook me it goes round corners.

The inside front wheel lifting was the rear arb not being connected so glad thats sorted and we don't have to go to different TBs. Have to say it is quite astounding how much speed I can carry now. Must go and find some exotica to harrassLOL

VTS-TIBI: Had a chat to Curtis today about your kit to remind him. Will get on his case on monday when I next see him as well. He should be emailing you shortly.

Right then. After a few jaunts out on these in a mix of cruising and maximum attack I'm seriously chuffed with them. The ride is a little harder, but well damped. The handling is the same as before, loads of feel, no sudden break point but with a lot more grip. The grip over undulations on B roads, especially mid-corner is also incredible. I have found myself going into corners a little hard at times, following into understeer, but keeping the standard rear mounts means a touch of LOOS and its flat back on the throttle for a quick exit.

Test drives are not a problem if you are seriously thinking of buying. I need to see your insurance first though Thumbs up

Was lucky enough to have a drive in Adam's Rallye this afternoon and i have to say i was very impressed with the setup Yes While i didnt really push it to the limit myself (it's not my car LOL) i found that the ride was nice and smooth and the car felt very planted through corners. Adam himself gave me a few glimpses of what the car was capable of on a couple of roundabouts and it was impressive how the car just stuck without a sign of any kind of twitch Devil Adam has the car setup as a b road master currently and it certainly seems spot on for that, coupled with a SC setup this really would make an awesome car, fingers crossed if i can find some decent working space i might be able to make that a reality Ninja

Cheers again Adam, top man Thumbs up

P.S - Hope you fingers have thawed out now, was a bit chilly without the heating LOL

must say I love the way this car behaves, the control the dampers have is quite something when you're used some of the basic upgrade kits, let alone tired o.e dampers!

the complete combination of losing some 20 kilos+ of rotating weight on the wheels and tyres, and the larger rear ARB is a very good combination.

I suppose you did get a bit of a taster when you saw it last Mei. Much better now i'm more used to it.... I do find myself driving too fast now though, not for the car or road, but for other people. They can't comprehend just how fast I can take corners LOL
